    Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for automated deployment of radio-based networks. In one embodiment, a request to provision a radio-based network for a customer by a provider according to a network plan is received via an application programming interface (API) of a cloud provider network. An arrangement of a plurality of cells for the customer is determined. Respective antennas and radio units for individual ones of the plurality of cells are preconfigured to implement the radio-based network before shipping the respective antennas and the radio units to the customer.

    Abstract: Techniques for dynamic resource movement in heterogeneous computing environments including provider substrate extensions are described. A dynamic resource movement service of a provider network monitor conditions of heterogeneous computing environments, including provider substrate extensions of the cloud provider network, to evaluate customer-provided movement policy conditions governing when to move customer application resources from these environments, where to move the resource to, and/or how to move the customer application resources. The customer-provided movement policy conditions may be based on a variety of factors, such as a latency between end-users of the customer application and the application itself.

    Abstract: Technology is described for sending messages between device groups. A message may be generated at a first device group. The first device group may include a plurality of edge devices that is executing a first process. The message may be sent from the first edge device in the first device group to a source controller edge device in the first device group. A logical group address associated with the message may be added. The logical group address may identify a second device group that is to receive the message. The second device group may include a plurality of edge devices that is executing a second process. The message may be sent from the source controller edge device in the first device group to a destination controller edge device in the second device group over an overlay grouping network between the first device group and the second device group.

    Abstract: Technology for content distribution in wireless mesh network is described. In one embodiment, the wireless mesh network includes a plurality of mesh nodes, wherein each of the mesh nodes includes a content agent configured to receive a content command from a cloud computing content management service communicatively coupled to the wireless mesh network, the content command identifying one or more segments of a media content file corresponding to a media title to be stored on the mesh node. Each mesh node includes a storage system configured to store the one or more segments of the media content file specified in the content command. Each mesh node further includes a content server configured to service requests for playback of the media title from one or more mesh clients. The mesh nodes also include a mesh communication component configured to communicate with other mesh nodes in the wireless mesh network to retrieve segments of the media content file stored on the other nodes.
