Abstract:
A detent connection piece (10) includes a clip hook (18) which can be pressed into a first bore (24) while being deformed until the detent connection piece snaps in and engages behind a bearing edge framing the first bore (24). The detent connection piece (10) additionally includes an end section which is adapted to be inserted into a second bore (26). Further proposed is a gas bag module including at least one such detent connection piece (10).
Abstract:
A cover arrangement for a gas bag module (10) in a safety device for motor vehicles comprises a frame part (24), an opening (16) provided in the frame part (24) for accommodating a gas bag (20), and a cover (22) that in a non-activated condition of the gas bag module closes off the opening (16). The cover (22) and the frame part (24) are connected to each other by a latching connection, which has a latching hook (26) and a retaining part (48) for the latching hook (26). In an operating condition of the gas bag module the retaining part (48) is burst apart by means of the gas bag (20) acting upon the cover (22).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a vehicle occupant restraint system comprising an inflatable gas bag, a gas-carrying distributor pipe projecting into the gas bag and a piston housed displaceably in the distributor pipe. The restraint system further comprises a power transmission means which connects the piston and the gas bag with each other and via which a force for tensioning the gas bag is transferred onto said gas bag. A deflection member for the power transmission means is provided in the distributor pipe. The power transmission means is constructed as a traction means.
Abstract:
A restraint module for a motor vehicle, comprising a compressed gas source (10) and an elongated side-impact gas bag (14) being in flow connection therewith, the side-impact gas bag (14) being translatable by means of compressed gas from a collapsed condition arranged in an ejection channel (16) into a deployed condition in which one longitudinal rim (18) of the gas bag (14) freely extends in the interior of the motor vehicle, each of both ends (20, 26) of this longitudinal rim (18) of the gas bag (14) being connectable to a vehicle-fixed tensioning point (24, 32), and a tensioning device (30) being provided cooperating with one of the ends of the longitudinal rim (18), is characterized in that the tensioning device (30) is arranged on the ejection channel (16) and is connected to said end (26) of the longitudinal rim (18) via a traction means (28) which is deflected at a vehicle-fixed point (32).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a gas generator, in particular for a vehicle occupant restraint system. The gas generator comprises an outer housing which has a fastening section, and outflow openings in the outer housing. The outflow openings are distributed on the periphery of the outer housing in a region of the fastening section such that thrust neutrality occurs during an outflow of a gas generated by the gas generator. The gas generator further comprises a gas directing part, the fastening section being constructed for arresting the gas-directing part to the outer housing. The outer housing has indentations in the fastening section, and the outflow openings are provided in the indentations. Further, the invention relates to a device for inflating a vehicle occupant restraint system.
Abstract:
A side gas bag restraint system for protecting an occupant (9) in a vehicle has a seat with a back rest (21) and a side window (S). The system includes a gas bag (1) having a large area and covering at least a part of the side window (S) of the vehicle. The gas bag (1) has a non-inflatable section (37), at least one inflatable restraint chamber (23) that has an inflated state. The restraint chamber (23) is provided in front of and above the associated back rest (21) of the vehicle to restrain a head of the occupant (9). The gas bag (1) further has inflatable tensioning chambers (27, 29, 31). The restraint chamber (23) is connected with the tensioning chambers (27, 29, 31) that are connected in series with regard to gas flow and are arranged in succession along a lower edge (25) of the gas bag (1). The tensioning chambers (27, 29, 31) have constrictions (37) between them. The non-inflatable section (37) is tightened between the inflatable chambers (23, 27, 29, 31) and the vehicle when the gas bag (1) is inflated.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a cover for a gas bag of an occupant restraining system in vehicles which is provided with an emblem, obtainable by direct printing of a predetermined surface of the cover made of plastic with one or more printing inks and/or by stamping an embossing foil on the predetermined surface of the cover.
Abstract:
A cover plate for a gas bag restraining system has a badge bearing an emblem fixed on its front side. The badge has a tubular rivet formed thereon which extends through the cover plate and whose free terminal section is rolled over at the rear side of the cover plate. The rolled over terminal section of the tubular rivet is curved convexly and is directed toward the rear side of the cover plate.
