摘要: An apparatus for texturing a plastic substrate, while forming a dye sublimation image in the plastic substrate, wherein the plastic substrate has a first side and a second side, is provided. A textured cover is on a side of a platen, wherein the platen is on a first, untextured side of the textured cover. A first side of the dye carrier is on a second, textured side of the textured cover, and wherein the plastic substrate is supported on a second side of the dye carrier, wherein a first side of the plastic substrate is supported by the dye carrier, wherein the textured side of the textured cover has a texture to be transferred to the plastic substrate. A membrane is on the second side of the plastic substrate. A vacuum pump provides a vacuum between the membrane and the platen. A heater is positioned to heat the plastic substrate.

摘要: A heat press for decorating substrates includes a support frame, a lower platen assembly supported on the support frame, and a linkage assembly having at least an upper link arm pivotally coupled with the support frame for movement to and between first and second positions. An upper platen assembly is coupled with the support frame by the linkage assembly for movement relative to the lower platen assembly to and between an open condition away from the lower platen assembly, and a closed condition adjacent the lower platen assembly, as the upper link arm is moved to and between the first and second positions. A linear actuator cooperates with the linkage assembly to further move the upper platen assembly in the closed condition in a direction to clamp an upper platen against a lower platen by moving an actuator rod from an extended position toward a retracted position.

摘要: A composite image heat transfer is disclosed for use on specific merchandising articles, sports jerseys, or other apparel for a specific sport. A scannable mark would be embedded in a heat transfer positioned on a sports jersey, such as a jersey number or a club crest. The scannable mark would be scanned by a user to provide stats, personal information, or other information about the corresponding sports team/club and/or individual athlete. The user can also register the scannable mark and follow the sports team/club and/or athlete on social media. Thus, the composite image heat transfer with embedded scannable mark would link each jersey number with information related to the corresponding player/athlete, and each club crest would be linked to information related to the corresponding club/team. This would enable a strong interaction through social media and other web tools between athletes and/or clubs and fans.

摘要: Provided are processes of applying a decorative imaging to a substrate that includes providing a stamp pad comprising a child and environmentally friendly disperse dye composition, inking a stamp with the disperse dye composition, optionally transferring the disperse dye composition from the stamp to an intermediate ink receptive surface using the rubber stamp to thereby place an image on an intermediate ink receptive surface, and transferring the image to a dye receptive object by application of sufficient heat and pressure. The disperse dye compositions provided herein are safe, environmentally friendly, and able to be used in stamp pad imaging processes.

摘要: Provided is an image transfer material, comprising a support, optionally at least one barrier layer, a melt transfer layer, and an image receiving layer. Also provided is a process for preparing the image transfer material. Further provided is a heat transfer process using the disclosed material. In the heat transfer process, after imaging, the image receiving layer and melt transfer layer are peeled away from the optionally barrier-coated support material and placed, preferably image side up, on top of a receptor element. A non-stick sheet is then optionally placed over the imaged peeled material and heat is applied to the top of the optional non stick sheet. The melt transfer layer then melts and adheres the image to the receptor element. A composition comprising: at least one self-crosslinking polymer, and at least one dye retention aid.
