    摘要: A vehicle seat assembly for detecting a condition of the seat assembly. The vehicle seat assembly includes a seat cushion. The vehicle seat assembly also includes a vehicle occupant sensing system having a plurality of sensor assemblies. Each sensor assembly includes a base and an upper slide member. The upper slide member is supported for movement toward and away from the base in response to a condition of the seat cushion. Additionally, the vehicle seat assembly includes at least one seat cushion insert having a topside and an underside. The seat cushion insert is disposed between the seat cushion and the sensor assemblies, and the topside has at least one planar section.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a trim material attachment assembly for securing trim material to the padding of a vehicle seat. The present invention includes an elongate wedge having a wedge tip and opposed walls joined at the wedge tip. The opposed walls extend angularly outward to define a substantially V-shaped channel adapted to receive the trim material of a vehicle seat. The trim material attachment assembly further includes a receiving member having a base adapted to engage the padding of a vehicle seat, a centrally located elevated platform and cantilevered retention tabs extending from the elevated platform. The cantilevered retention tabs are adapted to operatively receive the elongate wedge. Each of the cantilevered retention tabs includes a guide deck adapted to provide positive placement of the elongate wedge and an engaging flange adapted to releasably engage the elongate wedge juxtaposed therebetween.

The structural layer has at least two edge regions provided proximate two edges of the structural layer and an inner region at least partially bound within the at least two edge regions. The at least two edge regions have a plurality of concave channels. A cushion layer is adjacent to the structural layer and has a plurality of concave projections sized to be received within the plurality of concave channels of the structural layer for minimizing lateral movement of the cushion layer relative to the structural layer proximate the edge regions.
