摘要: A method and system for coordinating the use of beam forming between two communicating entities in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The two entities may communicate control information regarding their respective use of beam forming. A correction factor for at least one entity is provided wherein said entity may reduce or withhold its beam adjustment in order to correct any error measured in the alignment of its beam with respect to the beam of the other entity with which it is communicating. Adjustment parameters for adjusting the beams are selected based on conditions surrounding the communication.

摘要: An instrument, article and method are provided for minimizing pain during administration by injection of a liquid, such as, an anesthetic. The instrument has a forward end. A rod or lightpipe mounted freely for vibration projects out of the forward end. The article, a single use tip, is composed of a tip sleeve removably mounted on the forward end of the instrument and a tip member removably mounted on the projecting rod or lightpipe to vibrate a preselected injection site on a human or animal. The tip sleeve and tip member are covered by an elastic overmold that enables the tip member to vibrate freely with respect to the tip sleeve and light from the lightpipe to illuminate the injection site. The overmold of the single use tip is torn during removal of the single use tip from the instrument.

摘要: A content feed aggregator displays an ordered list of content items, including a selected item and a set of other items. The selected item is displayed in an expanded format while the other items are simultaneously displayed in a compact format. At least one respective item in compact format is displayed above the selected item and at least one respective item in compact format displayed below the selected item. In response to a user action for selecting a second item in the displayed list, the ordered list of content items is redisplayed with the second item displayed in the expanded format and the other items, including the first item, displayed in the compact format.

摘要: Pre-molded multiple plastic bags are compressed into a flat pack having a supportive edge, according to the invention, with the edge then resting on the surrounding upper rim of a standard size garbage pail, with each bag of the pack being pushed down and expanded to securely fit into the pail. As each top plastic bag is filled with trash, it is torn away from the rack leaving the next bag neatly in place for filling.

摘要: A work surface device has an upper member with a substantially planar top surface. A support is secured to the upper member for supporting the upper member on a support member with the planar top surface in a generally horizontal orientation. The support has a fastener or clamping device at its lower end for releasable engagement with a portion of the support member. A work board of shape and dimensions generally matching the shape and dimensions of the top surface may be placed on the top surface. The work board and upper member have aligned openings in which a receptacle may be seated or through which waste may be discarded into a container beneath the work surface. In one arrangement, the clamping device is secured to the upper rim of a container with the work surface spaced above the open upper end of the container.

摘要: In a communications device operating with a blind signal separation (BSS) processor, an initial mixing matrix is formed based upon the different summations of the source signals received by the antenna array. The initial mixing matrix is evaluated to determine a minimum rank that is necessary for at least one source signal to be useable after having been separated from the initial mixing matrix and decoded. An additional mixing matrix is then formed, and also includes the different summations of the source signals. If the rank of the additional mixing matrix is less than the minimum rank associated with the initial mixing matrix, then the source signals are modified so that the rank of the additional mixing matrix is increased.

摘要: A MIMO communications system includes a transmitter, and a receiver synchronized with the transmitter. The transmitter changes the power levels for each layered space data stream on a time slotted basis. The data streams arrive at the receiver with various power levels, which provides suitable differences in the received signals for population of a mixing matrix for signal separation processing.

摘要: A method and apparatus for generating and adjusting a watermark in a watermarking system comprising a watermark generator and a watermark detector includes the watermark generator emitting the watermark. The watermark detector detects the watermark. The watermark detector transmits a signal to the watermark generator. The watermark generator then adjusts the generated watermark based on the signal received from the watermark detector.
