    摘要: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) to detect and perform measurements with respect to Home Node-Bs (HNB) and Home evolved Node-Bs (H(e)NB) (collectively “HNB”). The methods may include generating and transmitting a request for a measurement configuration that may include gap allocations to detect and measure a primary scrambling code or a physical cell identity of a target HNB for at least one frequency or radio access technology (RAT). The request may be in response to the WTRU entering a HNB cell for which the WTRU has stored fingerprint information and whose closed subscriber group ID is in the WTRU's whitelist. The network may configure the WTRU to measure the requested frequency or RAT in response to the proximity report/request. Methods are described for releasing the measurement configuration.

A determination is made that a periodic cell update timer is expired. In response to the periodic cell update timer expiring, a determination is made whether the WTRU has an allocated E-DCH resource. If the WTRU has an allocated E-DCH resource, the periodic cell update timer is re-started without performing a periodic cell update.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus utilize hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) transmissions and retransmissions that are usable on multiple carriers, i.e. joint HARQ processes. For example, a downlink (DL) shared channel transmission of a joint HARQ process is received on one of the carriers. A first part of an identity of the joint HARQ process is determined by using HARQ process identity data received on a shared control channel. A second part of the joint HARQ process identity is determined using additional information. The joint HARQ process identity is then determined by combining the first part and the second part. A WTRU is provided that is configured to receive the DL shared channel and to make the aforementioned determinations. A variety of other methods and apparatus configurations are disclosed for utilizing joint HARQ processes, in particular in the context of DC-HSDPA.

    摘要: A method and an apparatus for performing uplink hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) transmission in a burst are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may transmit a transmission burst over at least two consecutive transmission time intervals (TTIs) via a HARQ process configured for transmission burst. An E-DCH dedicated physical control channel (E-DPCCH) power offset may be set to the transmission burst-specific E-DPCCH gain factor value. The WTRU may calculate a power of the E-DPCCH by dividing a conventional E-DPCCH power offset by a total number of TTIs in the transmission burst. The WTRU may transmit the E-DPCCH only during a first TTI of the transmission burst. The supported E-TFCs may be a second set of supported E-TFCs determined only for use with the transmission burst. The WTRU may determine the set of supported E-TFCs and the E-TFC for transmission based on a number of TTIs in the transmission burst.

A radio network controller (RNC) may pre-load a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) with HS-DSCH configuration for the target cell. The WTRU receives and stores the pre-loaded HS-DSCH configuration. The WTRU may start monitoring a high speed shared control channel (HS-SCCH) on the target cell using the pre-loaded HS-DSCH configuration for the target cell on a condition that a measurement report is triggered by the event 1D. The WTRU may initiate a timer when the WTRU starts monitoring the HS-SCCH on the target cell and stop monitoring the HS-SCCH on the target cell upon expiry of the timer.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for performing an enhanced random access procedure in a Cell_FACH state are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) transmits a random access channel (RACH) preamble for random access. If a positive acknowledgement (ACK) is received in response to the RACH preamble, the WTRU enters a contention resolution phase and transmits a message via an enhanced dedicated channel (E-DCH). If contention resolution fails, the RACH preamble is retransmitted. A contention back-off timer may be used for retransmission. A physical random access channel (PRACH) code may be reselected. The RACH preamble may be retransmitted using a reserved PRACH resource so that E-DCH resource is allocated to the collided WTRUs. Data transmitted during the contention resolution phase may remain in a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) buffer. The MAC-i/is entity may be reset. All data sent during the contention resolution phase may be stored in a temporary buffer.
