Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices dynamically allocate bandwidth parts in response to conditions at cell sites. An example process assigns a first plurality of slices and a second plurality of slices to communicate on a bandwidth of a cell site. The cell site operates at a first level of power consumption. A changed operating state is detected at the cell site, and the first plurality of slices is assigned to communicate on a bandwidth part of the cell site in response to detecting the changed operating state. The bandwidth part is a subset of the bandwidth. The cell site operates at a second level of power consumption in response to assigning the plurality of slices to communicate on the bandwidth part. The second level of power consumption is less than the first level of power consumption.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for adaptive bandwidth (BW) management configuring an element management control unit including a set of distribution/central units (DU/CU) for monitoring power and traffic loads at a plurality of cell sites in a network; communicating with a BW management unit coupled to the element management system to adapt BW for users at cell sites by moving users to a set of smaller bandwidth parts (BWPs) at a cell site in response to a set of conditions of AC power outages and reduced traffic loads detected by the BW management unit, and in response to at least one of the detected conditions, instructing based on data from the DU/CU to the BW management unit to move user traffic to a designated lower BWP of the set of smaller BWPs at the cell site while shutting down other BWPs at the cell site to save the power of an operating cell site.

Abstract: Systems and methods for slice-specific adaptive resource allocation are provided. An example method includes generating multiple RAN sub-slices within a RAN slice of a network, assigning a first band to the RAN slice. The first band has a first BWS and a second BWS, the first BWS is allocatable to each one of the RAN sub-slices, and the second BWS is allocatable to qualified RAN sub-slices. The method further includes assigning a first allotment of the first BWS to an identified RAN sub-slice, monitor continuously real-time bandwidth usage of the first BWS by the identified RAN sub-slice, and determine whether the first allotment allocated to the first RAN sub-slice is sufficient to achieve predetermined QoS attributes of the first RAN sub-slice.

Abstract: Methods and systems for adaptive spectrum allocation are provided. An example method includes receiving an input from a network consumer of a network, extracting a consumer intent from the input data and mapping the consumer intent with one or more predetermined QoS attributes, assigning a consumer priority indicator to the network consumer based on the QoS attributes, generating a network slice and assign the network slice to the network consumer, selecting a radio frequency band, assigning the band to the network slice, allocating a first allotment of the band to the network slice, provisioning network service to the network consumer for at least one UE connected to the network slice to use the allocated allotment of the band, monitoring continuously real-time bandwidth usage by the network slice, and adjusting, automatically and adaptively, a total bandwidth allocated to the network slice during network

Abstract: Various examples of automated processes, computing systems, devices and other aspects of a wireless data network are disclosed herein. According to various embodiments, message flooding in the wireless network is reduced through the use of “dummy” messages from the radio unit (RU) to the distributed unit (DU) or layer two (L2) switch. The dummy messages tend to prevent timeout of the RU's data in the L2 switch's routing tables, thereby prolonging the period of time that the L2 switch is able to more efficiently direct subsequent traffic toward that particular device.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards an adaptive DU scheduler that increases the user experiences on higher channel bandwidths (BWs) while ensuring no drops for Voice over New Radio (VoNR) or other high priority traffic. Example embodiments include systems and methods for an adaptive distributed unit (DU) scheduler in a wireless telecommunication network, such as a wireless 5G network. Example embodiments include systems and methods that include: a central scheduler for maximizing overall throughput based on received parameter values; maximizing the overall cell site throughput; an intelligence layer that has an artificial intelligence and/or machine learning (AI/ML) model that increases the performance for all the cells by sending info to central scheduler for each of the cells; an intelligence layer that has an AI/ML models for each site type based on the traffic distribution across each cell; centralized RAN pooling; a containerized DU server with master a controller pod controlling individual cell pods; and a containerized DU server with a DU common scheduler managing all the cells.
