Abstract:
The invention relates to a modular humeral prosthesis for an inverse shoulder prosthesis, comprising an anatomical shaft (1) and a separable epiphyseal head (2) which may be angularly orientated by rotation about the longitudinal axis (XX) of the anatomical shaft. The anatomical shaft and the epiphyseal head comprise complementary angular indexing means (11, 28) for relative rotational fixation.
Abstract:
A game feeder includes a housing having a cavity, an input aperture, and an output aperture; a base attached to the housing; a spreader below the output aperture; and a motor attached to the feeder and the spreader and configured to rotate the spreader. The feeder can include a varmint guard disposed below the output aperture to restrict varmint access to the spreader and feeder.

Abstract:
A direct contact segmented column heater is described. The heater is capable of a broad heating and cooling range, and exhibits a very rapid response, with heating and cooling rates better than 350° C. min−1. In one configuration one or more of the individual heating devices are provided with full independent control and temperature feedback, and developed to provide excellent thermal stability at all temperatures. The heating devices or in other words active thermal transfer devices are capable of bi-directional operation, selectively heating (i.e., providing heat to) or cooling (i.e., withdrawing heat from) a column and/or contents of a column.
Abstract:
An armrest for a motor vehicle seat includes an armrest body configured to coupled to a fixing mechanism. The armrest body includes axle pins and stop pins and the fixing mechanism includes a pivot bearing and a stop groove. The axle pins are configured to insert into the pivot bearings and pivot about an axis of rotation. The distance between the stop pins is smaller than the distance between the pivot bearings.
Abstract:
A furniture member actuation mechanism includes first and second side plates with polymeric inserts each having an elongated slot each receiving a first or second pin. First and second seat back support elements are provided, the first element rotatably coupled to the first side plate and rotatably linked to the first pin and the second element rotatably coupled to the second side plate and rotatably linked to the second pin. First and second leg rest support arms are each connected by a pantograph linkage set to a drive rod disposed through the side plates. A rearward force applied by an occupant to the support elements rotates them rearward with the first and second pins sliding within the elongated slots. An occupant's weight when the rearward force is removed returns the support elements to a pre-rotation position. A cam adjusts a weight a leg rest can hold.
Abstract:
The invention provides dust collecting apparatus 500 for use in collecting airborne dust adjacent to a moving surface, such as a paper web 511. The apparatus comprises an elongate duct 503 extending in a direction transverse to the direction of movement of the moving surface, the duct having along its length at least one opening 504 permitting entry of air into the duct, and air extracting means in fluid communication with the duct. The apparatus is positionable adjacent to the web so that the apparatus and the moving surface define a “mouth” 514 into which is received at least a proportion of a layer of dust laden air 515 adjacent to and moving with the moving surface. In the preferred embodiment, the opening is shaped and positioned so that air enters the duct in a direction approximately tangential to a wall 507 of the duct and so that air in the duct moves both rotationally about the length of the duct and longitudinally along the duct. That is, a vortex motion is induced in the air entering the duct. This aids in keeping the dust entrained so that it is less likely to settle in, and so to foul, the duct. The opening may vary in width along the length of the duct, or may be one of several openings of varying sizes, so that a uniform (or other desired) distribution of mass flow rate of air per unit length of duct may be obtained along the duct. Air guiding and constraining formations 9, 10 may be provided upstream and downstream of the duct.
Abstract:
An online banner advertisement is provided that enables a consumer to estimate the consumer's home value based on the state where the home is located, the year the home was purchased, and the purchase price. State-level data from Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) can be used to calculate the percentage increase in home value against the purchase price to estimate the current value of the home. An equity calculation can include deducting from the computed current value of the home the purchase price of the home. The calculation can include computing yearly cumulative appreciation value for each year, starting from the year the home was purchase to the present, based on the quarterly appreciation data. Consumers accessing the home equity estimation on the banner are given an option to contact a lender or to proceed to the lender's website where additional information, such as more specific home equity estimation, may be obtained. Consumer access to the banner and/or the home estimation tool available thereon can be monitored. Number of times that consumers access the more specific home equity information pages of the lender website, as well as the number of loan applications being generated as a result of such access can be tracked. Cost and benefits of providing the specific home equity information can be evaluated.
Abstract:
A display system includes a mechanism to provide for simultaneous pixelated color with a spatial light modulator. Also included is a mechanism to project the simultaneous pixelated color to create a color field display on a viewing surface. A further mechanism moves the color field display relative to viewing surface to provide at least one of color and resolution increasing wobulation.
