摘要: Implemented is an analysis apparatus column oven equipped with a plurality of columns, which is capable of efficiently performing heat conduction on column basis, recognizing a column cartridge that holds a column, and being easily exchanged on column basis. The column change mechanism includes the ferrule, the movable ferrule connector, the pipe, the fastener pull, the fastener fitting, the column cartridge presser, the slide guide, the RFID reader, the fixed wall, the column changer heat insulating member, the fixed bottom plate, the receiver, and the fixed fitting. A plurality of column cartridges can be installed in the heat block, and are in contact with the column heat block to control the temperature in the column cartridges. The column cartridge is fixed between left and right column change mechanisms, and when the fixed column cartridge is opened, the column change mechanism on the left side is moved leftward and opened.

摘要: A gas monitoring device for gas chromatograph, comprising a pump configured to take a gas out of a space in a column oven of the gas chromatograph (GC); a measurement flow path through which the gas taken out of the space in the column oven by the pump flows; a gas sensor having a sensing unit exposed in the measurement flow path, the gas sensor being configured to detect a specific component in the gas flowing through the measurement flow path; a flow rate detection unit including a self-heating element arranged in the measurement flow path, the flow rate detection unit being configured to acquire a signal corresponding to a flow rate of the gas flowing through the measurement flow path by controlling a voltage applied to the self-heating element so that the temperature of the self-heating element is set to a reference temperature; a temperature acquisition unit configured to acquire temperature information about the gas flowing into the measurement flow path; and a controller configured to control operations of the pump and the flow rate detection unit, wherein the controller is configured to set the reference temperature of the self-heating element of the flow rate detection unit to a temperature of the gas flowing into the measurement flow path based on the temperature information acquired by the temperature acquisition unit and determine normality of the operation of the pump based on the signal acquired by the flow rate detection unit. wherein the controller is configured to set the reference temperature of the self-heating element of the flow rate detection unit to a temperature of the gas flowing into the measurement flow path based on the temperature information acquired by the temperature acquisition unit and determine normality of the operation of the pump based on the signal acquired by the flow rate detection unit.

摘要: A modular gas detection system includes a primary gas chromatograph, a constant volume extractor positionable to provide a continuous fluid sample to the primary gas chromatograph, and a total hydrocarbon analyzer. The modular gas detection system also includes a processing device and a memory device including instructions executable by the processing device for causing the processing device to perform operations. The operations include adjusting a detection scheme of the primary gas chromatograph to update a detection range for the continuous fluid sample to detect different hydrocarbons within a single column. Further, the operations include controlling routing of the continuous fluid sample from the constant volume extractor to the primary gas chromatograph and the total hydrocarbon analyzer.

摘要: A first attachment portion to which a packed column is attachable and a second attachment portion to which a chip column is attachable are housed in a column oven. Designation of a temperature of the column oven is received by a designated temperature receiver. In a case in which the chip column is not attached to the second attachment portion, an upper limit temperature of the column oven is set to a first temperature by a setter. An upper limit temperature of the column oven is set to a second temperature lower than the first temperature in a case in which the chip column is attached to the second attachment portion. A temperature of the column oven is adjusted to a received temperature by a temperature adjuster in a case in which the received temperature is equal to or lower than an upper limit temperature.

摘要: Exemplary embodiments may compensate for expected frictional heating or Joule-Thomson cooling in chromatography columns. Frictional heating or Joule Thomson cooling are the same thing for a fluid decompressing along a porous material. Either heat is absorbed from or released to the external environment. The exemplary embodiments may cool the mobile phase to a sub-ambient temperature before the mobile phase passes through a chromatography column to compensate for the frictional heating or heat the mobile phase to a super-ambient temperature to compensate for Joule-Thomson cooling. The amount of temperature increase expected from the frictional heating or the amount of temperature decrease expected from the Joule-Thomson cooling may be calculated or estimated. Based on the amount of temperature increase or decrease expected, the set point for the heater/cooler may be determined and applied to the mobile phase. The analyte may be injected solely into a central portion of the chromatography column to further compensate for thermal gradients.

摘要: To analytically determine concentration of dissolved gases in a water pipeline, a water sample is drawn from a source carrying water with dissolved gas, through a water source port of a four-way valve. The water sample is flowed from the water source port towards a syringe port of the valve and into a syringe fluidically coupled to the syringe port to hold the water sample. Inert gas is drawn through an inert gas port of the valve from an inert gas source and is flowed from the inert gas port towards the syringe port and into the syringe. A mixture of the water sample and the inert gas is flowed from the syringe port towards an analyzer port of the valve and into an analyzer fluidically coupled to the analyzer port.
