摘要: A mediation server for controlling contents of incoming and outgoing communication information exchanged as part of a conversation is provided. The mediation server may be a centralized server between an internal (private) network and an external network, utilized for enforcing the internal network's policy and detecting a potential security compromise in the internal network. Predefined evaluation criteria are utilized to enforce internal policy or security policy within the internal network. When communication information is exchanged, the mediation server may monitor potential policy or security breaches in the communication information utilizing the predefined evaluation criteria and execute an appropriate action to prevent potential policy or security breaches.

摘要: A processor controlled system for correlating an electronic index according to speaker for audio data being recorded in real time. The system includes a source of training data for each of the plurality of individual speakers and audio input system for providing real time audio data including speech for the individual speakers. The audio data is converted into spectral feature data by an audio processor, and is simultaneously recorded on a storage medium by a recording device. A system processor accepts the training data to create individual speaker models, which are combined in parallel to form a speaker network. The system processor then accepts the spectral feature data of the audio data and, using the speaker network, determines segments in the audio data corresponding to each speaker.

摘要: Described is a distributed peer-assisted multicast content delivery system (e.g., a multiparty conferencing application) that uses an adaptive link rate control protocol to discover and adapt to an arbitrary topology quickly and converge to efficient link rate allocations allowed by an underlying network. Link rates are regularly obtained and used to determine trees for sending packets to other nodes. Network coding is used to implement data multicast so that mixtures (i.e., linear combinations) of the packets are transmitted in the network. The redundant packets may be differentiated from non-redundant (“innovative”) packets such that network conditions may be measured by link innovation and/or session innovation.

摘要: Difficulties associated with choosing advantageous network routes between server and clients are mitigated by a routing system that is devised to use many routing path sets, where respective sets comprise a number of routing paths covering all of the clients, including through other clients. A server may then apportion a data stream among all of the routing path sets. The server may also detect the performance of the computer network while sending the data stream between clients, and may adjust the apportionment of the routing path sets including the route. The clients may also be configured to operate as servers of other data streams, such as in a videoconferencing session, for example, and may be configured to send detected route performance information along with the portions of the various data streams.

摘要: A method and system that enhances a user's performance while interacting with an interactive internet application such as a Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) game is provided. The network latency experienced by users participating in the MMO game is minimized by dynamically determining an optimal transmission action for a message generated by the MMO game. In one embodiment, determining the optimal transmission action for a message includes dynamically determining the optimal number of redundant Forward Error Correction (FEC) packets to add to a message prior to transmitting a message to a receiving device. The optimal number of FEC packets is determined based on a wide range of varying network conditions.

摘要: Techniques to perform rate matching for multimedia conference calls are described. An apparatus may comprise a conferencing server and a rate matching module. The rate matching module may be arranged to adjust bit rates between media communications channels for client terminals in a conference call, with the rate matching module to remove video frames from a set of video information received on a first media communications channel to reduce a bit rate for the video information. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
