Abstract: Processes and systems for making recycle content hydrocarbons, including olefins, are provided that integrate a cracker unit with one or more other processing units. For example, in some cases, a fluidized catalytic cracking unit may be used to crack recycle content pyrolysis oil and the effluent from the FCC may be further processed in a conventional cracker unit, including its downstream separation zone, to provide recycle content hydrocarbon product stream. In other cases, a pyrolysis unit and cracking unit may be co-located and may share at least one utility, service group, boundary, conduit, energy exchange zone, and/or geographical area.

Abstract: Olefins are made by passing a cracker stream through a convection section of a cracker furnace; introducing steam and a stream comprising a recycle content pyrolysis oil into the cracker stream to form a combined stream, and the steam, r-pyoil stream, or both are introduced downstream of the inlet to the convection section, such as between the inlet to the coils and the radiant zone, or at the cross-over. Additionally, dilution steam can be added to a stream of r-pyrolysis to form a steam-diluted r-pyoil stream which is then introduced into a cracker furnace at any location, such as downstream of the inlets to the convection box or at a cross-over.

The furnace can be a gas fed furnace, or split cracker furnace.

Abstract: A process and system for recovering a recycle content carbon dioxide is provided that can lower the carbon footprint and global warming potential of a chemical recycling facility. More particularly, a pyrolysis flue gas and/or a pyrolysis gas from waste plastic pyrolysis may be treated in an absorber system to thereby form a recovered CO2 stream comprising recycle content carbon dioxide. Thus, the global warming potential of the chemical recycling facility may be optimized and lowered due to the carbon dioxide recovery process and system herein.

Abstract: Processes and systems for making recycle content hydrocarbons, including olefins, from recycled waste material. Recycle waste material may be pyrolyzed to form recycle content pyrolysis oil composition (r-pyoil), at least a portion of which may then be cracked to form a recycle content olefin composition (r-olefin). In some cases, the pyrolysis and cracking may be carried out in different sections of the same furnace, or in different furnaces in the same cracker facility. Pyrolysis conducted in a furnace may or may not require retrofitting a furnace previously used to crack alkanes to form olefins.
