摘要: Methods, arrangement and network nodes for supporting inter-cell coordination of scheduling of radio resources subjected to inter cell interference. The methods involve identifying one or more radio resources which are subjected to inter-cell interference between a first cell and a second cell. The methods further involve deriving a respective service value related to service that could be provided in the respective first and second cell by use of the one or more radio resources. Further, transmissions in the one or more radio resources are controlled based on comparison of the service values, thus enabling inter-cell service value-based scheduling of the one or more radio resources, prioritizing services having the highest value per radio resource.

摘要: A method in a first radio network node for handling position measurements is provided. The first radio network node receives from a second radio network node a position measurement associated with a user equipment, and a system frame number. The system frame number is associated with the second radio network node. The system frame number is further related to a point in time when the position measurement was performed. The first radio network node calculates a position estimate of the position of the user equipment based on the position measurement. The first radio network node defines a time stamp which is based on the received system frame number. The first radio network node then signals to a third radio network node a positioning response. The positioning response comprises the position estimate and the time stamp.

摘要: The present invention relates to an arrangement, a communication network node and a user equipment allowing for probing of alternative antenna configurations in a communication network system as well as a method for such probing. The method comprises making one of the reconfigurable antennas (15a2, 15b2) of at least one cell (19a, 19b) temporarily available for probing and reconfiguring one or more antenna parameters thereof in accordance with a probing antenna parameter set. A new probe cell (20a, 20b) is transmitted from the prepared antenna (15a2, 15b2) and measurement reports collected from the user equipments (18) within the at least one cell (19a, 19b) and the probe cell (20a, 20b). The probing antenna parameter set is evaluated based on the collected measurement reports whereupon is determined if the reconfigurable physical antennas (15a1, 15a2, 15b1, 15b2) of the cell shall use the probing antenna parameter set or the initial antenna parameter set. Finally the probing cell (20a, 20b) is removed and the antennas (15a1, 15a2, 15b1, 15b2) adjusted in accordance with the determination.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method and a communication network node for automatically tuning a PRACH configuration parameter in a communication network system comprising radio base stations each serving at least one cell and with which user equipments are communicating on uplink and downlink channels. The PRACH configuration parameter is used for defining the division of uplink resource blocks between PRACH and PUSCH. Load statistics on RACH and PUSCH are collected used for determining a number of RACH opportunities required per time unit. Then a new PRACH configuration parameter having said required number of RACH opportunities per time unit is selected which is replacing the old PRACH configuration parameter.

摘要: In one of its aspects the technology concerns a method of operating a telecommunications system comprising a serving radio base station and a candidate radio base station. The serving radio base station comprises a radio base station to which a wireless mobile station provides measurement reports. The serving radio base station and the candidate radio base station are different with respect to at least one of frequency and radio access technology. The method comprises the serving radio base station allowing the mobile station to obtain information broadcasted by the candidate radio base station. The information is either information for locating Cell Global Identity (CGI) of the candidate radio base station or the Cell Global Identity (CGI) itself of the radio base station. The mobile station obtains the information from the candidate radio base station during at least one reading gap. The reading gap is a time period in which the mobile station does not receive information from the serving radio base station.

摘要: Embodiments of the disclosure provide a method and apparatus for detecting a sleeping cell. According to the method, amount of traffic-related activities in a candidate cell may be monitored in an observation period; accumulated amount may be calculated based on the monitored amount of traffic-related activities; and whether the candidate cell is a sleeping cell may be determined based on the accumulated amount. The accumulated amount may indicate accumulation of amount of traffic-related activities monitored in an accumulation period comprising at least one observation period.

摘要: In a method and an apparatus for determining when a cell of a cellular radio system can enter a discontinuous transmission mode is provided. By evaluating qualities from both the cell and neighboring cells for a number of positions and calculating a statistically expected quality distribution of the evaluated qualities conditioned on that certain cells are in discontinuous transmission mode it is possible to generate a distribution which can be compared with at least one requirement thresholds. Based on the comparison it is possible to determine if first cell can use discontinuous transmission mode and still fulfill the requirements.
