摘要: A thermal transfer printer has a thermal print head with a number of thermal printing elements, operated by power electronics and controlled by a control unit to print an imprint on a medium by thermally transferring ink from an inking ribbon to the medium by energization of selected printing elements by the control unit. The inking ribbon and the medium are movably disposed between the print head and a counter roller with the inking ribbon being unwound from a supply reel and wound onto a take-up reel. In a method and apparatus for monitoring usage of the inking ribbon, the approaching end of the ribbon is identified, either by optically reading a mark on the inking ribbon or by monitoring the amount of ribbon on the supply reel or the take-up reel, and the contents of a memory, which may be a mechanical memory or an electronic memory, are altered to indicate the completion of one pass of the inking ribbon. The inking ribbon is then rewound from the take-up reel to the supply reel for re-use. Before beginning re-use of the inking ribbon, the memory is interrogated and the usage history information is obtained therefrom. The thermal energy with which subsequent impressions are made is then controlled by the control unit dependent on the degree of usage of the inking ribbon.

摘要: An ink printer head of individual ink printer modules operating according to the edge-shooter principle equipped with piezoelectric actuators is provided for use in printers for postage meter machines and correspondingly has a large number of nozzles arranged in columns. For this purpose, a nozzle module, composed of a nozzle plate and two adapter plates arranged at opposite sides thereof, is disposed between ink printer modules that are constructed mirror-symmetrically relative to one another and are equipped with piezoactuators applied on both sides. The adapter plates are provided with openings for ink guidance and with recesses providing for the free space needed for piezoactuators. The openings in the adapter plates are matched, first, to the nozzle dimensions and, second, to the dimensions of the connecting channels to the ink chambers and are aligned with both the nozzles and the connecting channels. Identical etching masks can be used for a number of plates due to the mirror-symmetrical structure. A reduction in the manufacturing outlay while preserving the requiring printing precision is achieved. A high degree of repetition is achieved by employing identical ink printer modules and ink paths of approximately identical length is also achieved. The nozzle apertures can be given a circular cross-section without difficulty.

摘要: A selection circuit for an electro-thermal printer with a resistance-type ribbon includes a print unit, a current collection electrode, a memory, and a print control unit. The resistance-type inking ribbon that is moved relatively transfers ink particles from an ink layer into areas on a receiving medium when an associated thermal resistance in a resistance layer is heated. A voltage drop that is caused by a total current and by a variance of the resistances is measured through a non-selective current path (feedback layer) in the resistance inking ribbon by a measurement electrode that is disposed close to the print head. That causes a constant voltage source which has a reference voltage input to apply feed voltage to the electrodes that are temporarily connected therewith through a switching unit.

摘要: The invention relates to a contact element for pressing into a hole of a printed circuit board, said contact element comprising a rod-shaped press-fit zone comprising an insertion region and an adjacent deformable region. The width of the deformable region is larger than the diameter of the hole, and the width of the insertion region is smaller than the diameter of the hole. The deformable region comprises a front region and a rear region that both have a closed opening, said openings being separated by a crossbar extending transversally to the insertion direction of the contact element. Said crossbar extends at least in one part at a pointed angle of between 5 and 85 degrees to the insertion direction, and is thus subjected to an elastic force when the limbs are pressed together, creating a steadily increasing compression force for pressing the limbs against the wall of the opening.

摘要: In a machining apparatus to machine surfaces in recesses of workpieces, especially tools with flutes and cutting edges, such as twist drills, milling heads, reamers, and similar, the machining apparatus has a circular disk-shaped or frustum-shaped machining body with a symmetrical and rotational axis which is seated in a bearing in a rotatable manner and is connected with a machining drive to generate a rotational movement of the machining body about its rotational axis. The machining body has magnets acting outward in relation to the rotational axis to retain magnetic or magnetizable, abrasive machining powder on a circumferential surface of the machining body. A workpiece holder positionable relative to the machining body and moveably driven at least in an advancing or rotational direction or both is connected at least indirectly by means of a corresponding positioning medium and drives to the bearing of the machining body.

摘要: The invention relates to an electric drive unit comprising an electronic control module and an electric motor. The cooling of the components of the electric drive unit should be effected in a simple manner. To this end, the hub of the impeller wheel, which is situated on the rotation axis of the electric motor and provided for producing a working air flow, has a two-walled design, whereby a hub inner space is formed between the outer wall and the inner wall of the hub of the impeller wheel. At least one cooling surface of the cooling body, said surface being in contact with components of the electronic control module, projects into the hub inner space. A gap communicating with the hub inner space, is formed between the hub of the impeller wheel and a carrier section which supports the electronic control module and the electric motor. In addition, through-holes communicating with the hub inner space are provided in at least one component of the electric drive unit. When the electric drive unit operates and the impeller wheel is in motion an air flow between the gap and the through-holes is established. The invention also relates to an electric drive unit with a fan motor.

摘要: In a method an arrangement for controlling a dynamic scale is set via an input unit according to the respective requirements for processing a mixed mail stack, the setting optionally ensuing on the basis of selected shipping parameters and/or operating parameters that are displayed via a display unit. A modification of the operating parameters and data corresponding to the setting can be undertaken and stored in the non-volatile memory of the scale. Weighing of a supplied piece of mail takes place and a controller drives a conveyor of the scale such that the piece of mail is transported to a further processing station dependent on the operating parameters and data that have been set.
