    摘要: A system and method for providing a plurality of client applications access to data in a distributed file system. In various embodiments, read requests are separated from write requests and the read requests are processed by dedicated read servers. A plurality of read servers are coupled to the client applications and each read server reads file data from the distributed file system and returns the file data to the client applications. A write server writes data to the distributed file system. Various embodiments are described for separating read requests from write requests and transmitting read requests to the read servers write requests to the write server.

    摘要: Method and system for moving an object from a source partition server to a target partition server in a distributed file system having multiple partition servers. Each object has at least one associated and linked parent object, and each partition server owns a subset of objects of the file system. The object migration is accomplished by creating a copy in a target partition server of a selected object from a source partition server. At the source partition server, a forwarding link is created that references the copy in the target partition server. The copy is linked to the parent object of the selected object, and requests for access to the selected object are responded to with the forwarding link.

    摘要: A computer-implemented method for classifying alignments of paired nucleic acid sequence reads is disclosed. A plurality of paired nucleic acid sequence reads is received, wherein each read is comprised of a first tag and a second tag separated by an insert region. Potential alignments for the first and second tags of each read to a reference sequence is determined, wherein the potential alignments satisfies a minimum threshold mismatch constraint. Potential paired alignments of the first and second tags of each read are identified, wherein a distance between the first and second tags of each potential paired alignment is within an estimated insert size range. An alignment score is calculated for each potential paired alignment based on a distance between the first and second tags and a total number of mismatches for each tag.

    摘要: The present invention discloses a method of manufacturing a (plastic) card with a flexible inlay. Said method comprises following steps: manufacturing a upper housing and a lower housing; coating colloidal on inner surfaces of the upper housing and the lower housing; placing the inlay in said upper housing or the lower housing; closing the upper housing and the lower housing together to have a housing-closed card; laminating the closed housings to have a finished card. Preferably, there is provided in either the upper housing or the lower housing a slot(s) in match with the inlay(s); the inlay is placed within the slot accordingly. By means of the invention, a card with flexible inlay is manufactured, for example, an intelligent card (i.e., smart card) comprising a flexible and active circuit board and a flexible display, and properties of a new kind of card with flexible inlay are guaranteed.

    摘要: Techniques for watching a location of a device with respect to a destination target include obtaining a current location of a device from a localization operation, calculating an interval, and performing a next localization operation after the interval has expired. The interval may be calculated based on a velocity and a distance from the current location to a destination target. The techniques may also include calculating a displacement distance from the current location and adjusting the interval based on the displacement distance to thereby adjust a time for performing the next localization operation. The techniques may include performing state detection to determine a motion state of the device and performing the next localization operation based on the determined motion state.
