摘要: In nonlinear optimization a plurality of optimization methods are stored in a computer system as are techniques (knowledge) for applying those methods. Such techniques may be divided into common knowledge which are techniques applicable to all nonlinear optimization methods and domain knowledge which are techniques applicable to a corresponding one of the methods. When an optimization problem is input to the computer system, the system first selects one of the methods and applies it to the problem using the common knowledge and any relevant domain knowledge. If that method does not produce an optimum result, the system tries to solve the problem with another method, again making use of the common knowledge and the respective domain knowledge. This process is repeated until an optimum solution is obtained. The method is applicable to computer control of industrial plants and systems and to computer aided design.

摘要: There is provided a novel initial core arrangement of a nuclear reactor. The fuel assemblies in the central region of the reactor core occupying more than 50% of the total area of the reactor core are grouped into a plurality of fuel units each of which being constituted by four adjacent fuel assemblies. The fuel assemblies in each fuel unit are replaced one by one at each fuel replacement cycle with a new fuel assembly. The initial core is so arranged that each fuel unit has one gadolinia containing high enrichment fuel assembly and three low enrichment fuel assemblies containing no gadolinea. This arrangement permits a stable reactor operation substantially equivalent to that obtained in the state of equilibrium (equilibrium core), even with an initial core.

摘要: A pull tab attachment tool comprises a pair of first and second levers connected together for pivotal movement and having respectively first and second handle portions and opposed jaw portions extending from their one ends. The second lever has a roller. A third lever is pivotally connected to the first lever. An urging means acts between the first and third levers to normally urge them apart so that the third lever is held in rolling engagement with the roller. When the first and second handle portions are manually actuated to move toward each other, the opposed jaw portions are brought into engagement with each other to provide a first pressing structure, and one end of the third lever is brought into engagement with the one end of the first lever through the rolling action of the roller along the third lever to provide a second pressing structure.

摘要: The life of a lead acid storage batttery is extended by changing an over-frequency equalized charge interval performed on a lead acid storage batttery, in accordance with a transition situation of a state of charge (SOC) of the lead acid storage batttery. The lead acid storage batttery is also made to be advantageous in terms of cost by reducing the equalized charge with a low degree of urgency to reduce the power and cost for equalized charge, and by reducing the number of stops of a natural energy storage system. A lead acid storage batttery and a lead acid storage batttery system whose operational management can be easily performed are achieved by a method in which the future timing when the equalized charge is performed can be grasped by people operating the lead acid storage batttery. The lead acid storage batttery and the lead acid storage batttery system include: a storage batttery state measurement unit; an SOC model; an SOC estimation unit configured to estimate an SOC from the information measured by the storage batttery state measurement unit and the information from the SOC model; an SOC transition DB configure to record an SOC transition situation of the lead acid storage batttery; an SOC transition history management unit configured to record, in the SOC transition DB, an estimated SOC value and to check an SOC transition situation; a degradation model of the lead acid storage batttery; an equalized charge optimal planning unit configured to plan an optimal method of performing the equalized charge based on the information on the SOC transition situation from the SOC transition history management unit and the information from the degradation model; an SOC transition information-equalized charge information output unit; and an equalized charge control unit configured to perform the equalized charge on the lead acid storage batttery in accordance with the plan determined by the equalized charge optimal planning unit.
