Abstract: This application provides a paging message detection method and apparatus, and a communication device. A first access device determines a first resource when the first access device is to send a radio access network paging message to a first terminal device in an inactive state, where the first resource is to carry a first wake-up signal; and the first wake-up signal is to indicate the first terminal device to detect downlink control information for scheduling the paging message that is carried by a first paging occasion resource. The first access device sends the first wake-up signal to the first terminal device on the first resource. The first access device sends, on the first paging occasion resource, the downlink control information for scheduling the paging message. In this way, power consumption of the terminal device can be reduced, and electric energy can be saved.

The multiplexed symbols include DFT-s-OFDM symbols or OFDM symbols. N first multiplexed symbols are located on one side or two sides of a second multiplexed symbol. A location relationship between each of the N first multiplexed symbols and the second multiplexed symbol satisfies a mapping condition. N is an integer greater than or equal to 1. The first multiplexed symbol is a multiplexed symbol to which the uplink control information is mapped, and the second multiplexed symbol is a multiplexed symbol to which the demodulation reference signal is mapped.

Abstract: A PTRS processing method includes: receiving, by a terminal, first indication information and second indication information from a network device, where the first indication information is used to indicate a time-domain location at which a PTRS is to be sent by the terminal, and the second indication information is used to indicate an offset of an initial time-domain location to which the PTRS is mapped by the terminal; mapping, by the terminal, the PTRS to one or more DFT-s-OFDM symbols based on the first indication information and the second indication information; and sending, by the terminal, the one or more DFT-s-OFDM symbols. In this way, the PTRS mapped to the DFT-s-OFDM symbol is offset at a DFT-s-OFDM symbol level.
