Abstract: A terminal device camps on a first cell in an idle state or an inactive state. The terminal device measures the first cell based on a first non-cell defining synchronization signal/physical broadcast channel block (NCD-SSB) frequency, and measures a second cell based on the first NCD-SSB frequency and/or a cell defining synchronization signal/physical broadcast channel block (CD-SSB) frequency. The terminal device performs cell reselection based on a measurement result of the first cell and a measurement result of the second cell.

Abstract: A transmitting apparatus determines precoding information that includes one or more of the following: a precoding codebook, a power of a precoding port, a power of a precoding data stream, and a correspondence between the precoding port and the precoding data stream. Here one or more precoding ports may correspond to one precoding data stream. The transmitting apparatus transmits the precoding information to a receiving apparatus, so that the receiving apparatus can transmit downlink data with reference to the precoding information. In this application, the transmitting apparatus feeds back more types of precoding information than previously taught by prior art, so that the receiving apparatus obtains more reference information when transmitting the downlink data.

Abstract: This application discloses a communication method and a communication apparatus. The method includes: A terminal device receives wake-up information from a network device, and switches from a first state to a second state in response to the wake-up information. The wake-up information includes one or more of the following information: a first cell bar indication, a second cell bar indication, a resource configuration change indication, a resource configuration, and cell identification information. The first cell bar indication indicates whether a terminal device is allowed to select or reselect a cell. This application provides a new energy saving method. Before receiving the wake-up information, the terminal device does not perform other communication, to reduce energy consumption. In addition, the wake-up information may include cell bar indication information, so that the terminal device can select a suitable cell after the terminal device is waken up, and therefore communication efficiency is improved.

Abstract: A cell handover method and an apparatus. Indication information is received from a source cell, where the indication information indicates to a first transmission configuration indicator TCI state and cell handover; initiating random access to a target cell according to the indication information. In response to first response information returned by the target cell being received, second response information is returned to the source cell, where the second response information indicates that the first TCI state is successfully activated. Cell handover is implemented through beam switch to reduce a delay of a terminal device during the cell handover. The terminal device returns the second response information to the source cell only after receiving the first response information returned by the target cell.

Abstract: This application relates to a communication method and apparatus. A terminal device sends first uplink data to a network device. After sending the first uplink data, the terminal device monitors a first downlink control channel in a first search space in a first duration; and after the first duration ends, the terminal device monitors a second downlink control channel in a second search space in a second duration. A length of a periodicity of the second search space is greater than a length of a periodicity of the first search space. In this case, the terminal device monitors the second downlink control channel based on the second search space at a low frequency. Therefore, the second search space with a long periodicity is set, so that power consumption of monitoring the downlink control channel by the terminal device can be reduced.
