    Abstract: A device-to-device (D2D) transmission distance obtaining method and a device, related to the field of communications technologies and applied to wireless communications, where the method includes obtaining, by a first device, transmit power information, where the transmit power information indicates a transmit power used by the first device for sending data to a second device, and sending, by the first device, the transmit power information to the second device such that the second device obtains a distance between the second device and the first device, where the distance between the second device and the first device is obtained according to the transmit power and receive power used by the second device for sending the data. Hence, a more accurate D2D distance can be obtained.

    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for transmission mode conversion are disclosed. The method includes: detecting, by a terminal, whether a first transmission mode for sending data can be used; using, by the terminal, a second transmission mode to send the data when detecting that the first transmission mode cannot be used; stopping, by the terminal, using of the second transmission mode to send the data, and using the first transmission mode to send the data, when detecting that the first transmission mode can be used while the terminal is using the second transmission mode to send the data. By adopting the present disclosure, conversion between different transmission modes can be achieved, thereby avoiding a situation of communications interruption when a current transmission mode cannot be used, and the method is practical.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a monitoring report generation method where the method includes: receiving a monitoring parameter broadcast by a base station; monitoring energy of each discovery resource in a resource pool within a discovery time domain; determining a busy resource and an idle resource; and generating a monitoring report when a proportion of the busy resource or the idle resource in a predetermined quantity of consecutive discovery time domains meets a reporting condition corresponding to the busy resource or the idle resource, and sending the monitoring report to the base station. This resolves a problem in the related technology that: because D2D user equipment cannot accurately obtain a quantity of resource collision times in a cell, the base station cannot accurately learn a resource status in the cell, and it is ensured that the base station can accurately learn the resource status in the cell.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a data transmission method, a transmitting device, and a receiving device. The method includes: setting, by a transmitting device, a sending manner of a media access control layer service data unit MAC SDU according to a logical channel type of the MAC SDU; and sending, by the transmitting device according to the sending manner, a media access control layer protocol data unit MAC PDU obtained from the MAC SDU. If multiple transmitting devices simultaneously send MAC PDUs to the receiving device, the receiving device caches, to cache entities corresponding to the different transmitting devices, the MAC PDUs sent by the transmitting devices and processes the MAC PDUs. In this process, the receiving device can simultaneously process MAC SDUs sent by multiple transmitting devices, thereby improving data transmission reliability in D2D communication.
