Abstract: An apparatus of a user equipment (UE) includes processing circuitry, where to configure the UE for New Radio (NR) communications above a 52.6 GHz carrier frequency, the processing circuitry is to decode higher layer signaling, the higher layer signaling including a default slot duration for a transmission of control signaling. The control signaling includes a synchronization signal (SS) and a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) signaling. Synchronization information within a SS block is decoded. The SS block is received within a SS burst set and occupying a plurality of symbols within a slot having the default slot duration. A synchronization procedure is performed with a next generation Node-B (gNB) based on the synchronization information within the SS block and the PBCH signaling.

Abstract: An apparatus of user equipment (UE) includes processing circuitry coupled to a memory, where to configure the UE for DMRS processing in an NR network, the processing circuitry is to decode higher layer signaling, the higher layer signaling to indicate whether transform precoding is enabled and to indicate a modulation scheme for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) if transform precoding is enabled. A set of low Peak-to-Average-Power-Ratio (PAPR) base sequences of length-6 is generated. A reference signal sequence is generated as a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) using the set of low-PAPR base sequences, based on the modulation scheme if transform precoding is enabled by the higher layer signaling, the modulation scheme being a π/2-binary phase-shift keying (BPSK) modulation scheme. Mapping of the DMRS to physical resources for transmission using the PUSCH is performed.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described by using channel state information (CSI) associated with a CSI interference measurement from. The CSI is generated by user equipment. The CSI interference measurement is associated with an aggressor enhance Node B (eNB). The CSI is transmitted to the serving eNB. The CSI is then transmitted to the aggressor eNB over an X2 interface. The aggressor eNB determines beamforming restriction information based upon the CSI. The beamforming restriction information may then be transmitted to user equipment served by the aggressor eNB. The user equipment served by the aggressor eNB may use the beamforming restriction information in selecting channel state information reference signal resource indicator index or a precoding matrix indicator.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry coupled to memory. To configure the UE for New Radio (NR) communications, the processing circuitry is to decode a plurality of CSI-RSs received from a base station on a corresponding plurality of beams. DCI received via a PDCCH is decoded, the DCI activating reporting of beam emissions information associated with the plurality of beams. A CSI report is encoded with the beam emissions information for transmission to the base station, the beam emissions information comprising a flag for each beam of the plurality of beams indicating whether the beam can be used for uplink beam indication. Configuration signaling is decoded with the uplink beam indication, the uplink beam indication based on the beam emissions information and including a CRI of a selected beam of the plurality of beams. Data is encoded for transmission via an uplink channel using the selected beam.

Abstract: An access node of a 3GPP LTE-based wireless communication network comprises a transmitter portion that transmits downlink control information (DCI) to at least one wireless station of a plurality of wireless stations wirelessly accessing the node as a Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) wireless communication network. The DCI comprises at least one code word indicating a rank of a channel matrix between the transmitter portion of the node and the wireless station greater than 4 and a spatial-related configuration for the wireless station. In one exemplary embodiment, the transmitter portion transmits the DCI from one substantially localized geographical transmission point forming a single-cell access point for the plurality of wireless stations. In another exemplary embodiment, the transmitter portion transmits the DCI from multiple geographically substantially isolated transmission points forming a single-cell access point.

An apparatus may include computer-readable media having instruments and one or more processors coupled with the media and configured to execute the instructions to generate a power parameter corresponding to a power adjustment associated with a reference signal, provide the reference signal generated based in part on the generated power parameter to a wireless device, and provide the power parameter to transmission points operating in the coordinated transmission environment. Each of the transmission points may be configured to communicate the power parameter to the wireless device, and the wireless device may be configured to determine, based at least in part on the power parameter, a power characteristics associated with a channel in which the reference signal is provided.
