Abstract:
A circuit for clamping the voltage appearing on the bit lines of a dynamic random access memory (DRAM) device so that the voltage thereon is maintained above the low reference voltage source. The circuit includes pull-up devices connected to the bit lines of the DRAM device. The pull-up devices are active only when pull-down devices connected to the bit lines pull some of the bit lines towards the low reference voltage level.
Abstract:
In a high current, high frequency integrated circuit chip characteristic of producing an excess of internal on-chip circuit induced noise with respect to a low current, low frequency circuit implemented on the high current, high frequency integrated circuit chip, a method is disclosed for reducing noise in the low current, low frequency circuit. The method includes placing noise sensitive components of the low current, low frequency circuit external to the integrated circuit chip, corresponding to an off-chip placement. An exclusive power supply reference line V.sub.(REF) tapped off of a power supply bus internal to the integrated circuit chip is provided. The exclusive power supply reference line V.sub.(REF) is tapped off the internal power supply bus on-chip at a physical location proximate the low current, low frequency circuit and routed off-chip. The noise sensitive components are connected between the low current, low frequency circuit and the power supply reference line V.sub.(REF), wherein a noise differential in a power supplied to the low current, low frequency circuit on-chip and a power supplied to the noise sensitive components off-chip is minimized. An integrated circuit arrangement is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A method for stress testing a memory array in an integrated circuit. Control circuitry selects a plurality of row lines at one time. An overvoltage suitable for stressing the cells of the array is placed on the bit lines. Because a block of cells has been selected, the overvoltage is applied to all cells of the block. The block of cells selected may be either the entire memory array or a portion of the memory array. The selected rows remain selected for the duration of the stress test. Because the overvoltage is applied directly to selected cells, the full overvoltage will be used to stress the transistor gates for the entire test period. In this manner, latent defects within the memory array can be detected.
Abstract:
An output driver circuit includes a sense amplifier coupled to a first inverter and a second inverter. The first and second inverters drive a first and second chain of logic gates, respectively. A p-channel output transistor is coupled to the output of the first chain of logic gates, and an n-channel output transistor is coupled to the output of the second chain of logic gates. The transistors in the first and second inverters are selected so that the first inverter and the second inverter have complementary preferential output states. The first and second inverters generate their preferential output state in response to a selected intermediate output voltage range from the sense amplifier to turn off both the n-channel transistor and the p-channel transistor. This causes the n-channel and p-channel output transistors to both turn off when the sense amplifier generates the intermediate voltage during an equilibrate period.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method, a device and/or a system of utilizing a camera array system to detect a load status of a semi-trailer truck. A sensor array is affixed to a surface of a trailer of the semi-trailer truck to automatically determine whether a cargo area of the semi-trailer truck is occupied. A set of cameras of the sensor array have each camera embedded in individual recesses of the sensor array. The cargo area is illuminated using at least one light source of the sensor array. A memory and a processor associated with the sensor array are configured to store one baseline image of the cargo area of the trailer in an empty state. The processor is configured to detect a triggering event. The processor determines a cargo status based upon a difference between the current image and the baseline image, and sends the cargo status to a dispatcher.

A cover or a spa or hot tub having a shell and a foam core. The cover may be in two-pieces attached together at a hinge. The two pieces are tapered from the center towards the lateral edge. The top side may be substantially seamless. The top side may also be made of a hard plastic.
Abstract:
A technique provides a methodology for improving surveys of subterranean regions. The methodology comprises estimating macro anisotropy and an intrinsic or micro anisotropy of an overburden. A surface electromagnetic survey is conducted, and the data from the survey is inverted based on or including information gained from estimating the macro anisotropy and/or intrinsic anisotropy. A processor system can be used to conduct the inversion with the adjustments for anisotropy to improve the information provided by the survey.

Abstract:
An EOT unit detects an excessive end of train force using an accelerometer and reports the excessive force. The report may be made to a device located off the train, to an event recorder in the EOT unit, and/or to another device located on the train such as a head of train unit and/or an event recorder located outside the EOT unit. The accelerometer may be a singe, dual, or tri-axial accelerometer. The message may be sent in response to the detection of the excessive acceleration or may be part of a periodically transmitted message from the EOT unit to a HOT unit. A HOT unit is configured to receive a message indicating an excessive EOT acceleration and display an indication of the excessive acceleration to the operator and/or record the message in an event recorder and/or report the excessive acceleration to a device located off the train.
Abstract:
System, device and method for using user-generated metadata to arrive at a modified search index that emphasizes a relationship between documents selected by a user during a prior search session and salient terms of those documents. An initial search index is modified by adding a synthetic term and a synthetic document to terms and documents that are used to arrive at the elements of the index and by modifying the relevance scores to highlight one or more of the search terms, the synthetic term, and the synthetic document. Synthetic term ties a cluster of related documents together and synthetic document ties terms of these documents together. Synthetic term is not found in any other documents and synthetic document does not belong to any normal corpus of documents. Modified index aids in re-generating prior user choices because it contains artifacts reflecting associations that user perceived between various terms and documents.
