    摘要: A battery charging device which is driven by a torsional spring. A gear train driven by the spring is coupled with a wheel having peripheral teeth. A control lever is reciprocated pivotally by a small spring to engage the teeth of the wheel in a manner to control its rotation. The wheel in turn applies impulses which help to keep the lever in motion. The gear train is also coupled with an alternator such that the intermittent movement of the gear train is used to drive the alternator. The electrical current produced by the alternator is used to recharge a battery. An electric motor operates in combination with the switch mechanism to automatically wind up the torsional spring when it has been unwound below a preselected tension level.

    摘要: A system includes a drill bit, and a tubular connected thereto. The tubular is configured to be rotated to rotate the drill bit and drill a length of a borehole and cemented in place. The tubular and the drill bit form a conduit to permit cement to be pumped through the tubular and the drill bit and into an annulus. The system also includes a collar disposed between the tubular and the drill bit. The collar includes a receptacle made from a drillable material, which has a profile that corresponds to a shape of a component deployed through the length of the tubular, and is configured to form a substantially fluid tight seal between the component and the drillable material when the component is seated in the receptacle. The collar and the component prevent backflow of the cement.

    摘要: A microwave excited ultraviolet lamp system with a data logging and retrieval circuit and method for operating the same. The data logging and retrieval circuit stores operational data in a cache memory using a FIFO data storage protocol. The contents of the cache memory are periodically copied to a larger removable memory so that the removable memory contains a relatively long historical record of the system operational parameters. The data logging and retrieval circuit includes a data port configured to load the contents of the cache memory into an external device when the device is coupled to the data port. A second data port allows the external device to supply power to the data logging and retrieval circuit so that data may be retrieved when the internal power supply is malfunctioning. Data stored in the removable memory may be protected so that it may only be accessed by authorized personnel.

The killing device may include an arm that rotates when triggered by the rodent. In one exemplary embodiment, a portion of the arm may contact a portion of the indicator device, resulting in an alert portion protruding from the cover of the rodent station, thereby indicating the triggering of the killing device. The indicator device may be, for example, a spring-loaded pop-up device or a rotating flag device.
