Abstract: A radio terminal according to one embodiment comprises a processor. The processor is configured to: forward a data unit from an RLC layer to a MAC layer prior to receiving an uplink grant from a base station; receive the uplink grant for determining a predetermined transport block size from the base station; generate a transport block by performing concatenation or segmentation on the data unit according to the predetermined transport block size in the MAC layer; and transmit the generated transport block to the base station via a PHY layer. The processor is configured to receive TBS information indicating a minimum guaranteed value of a transport block size from the base station. The predetermined transport block size is a value equal to or larger than the minimum guaranteed value.

Abstract: A radio terminal (controller) executes one of a first control, a second control, and a third control, based on at least one of a reception level of a radio signal from a predetermined cell and a transmission level of the radio terminal. In the first control, the radio terminal directly transmits uplink information to be transmitted to a predetermined cell to the predetermined cell, and directly receives downlink information to be received by the radio terminal from the predetermined cell. In the second control, the radio terminal transmits the uplink information to the predetermined cell via a relay terminal configured to execute a relay using a proximity-based service, and directly receives the downlink information from the predetermined cell. In the third control, the radio terminal transmits the uplink information to the predetermined cell via the relay terminal, and receives the downlink information from the predetermined cell via the relay terminal.

The predetermined condition includes a condition that the WLAN measurement is configured from the WWAN to the radio terminal.

Abstract: In a communication method, a user equipment receives system information broadcast from a current serving cell of the user equipment and indicating frequencies different from a frequency of the current serving cell, the user equipment receives a paging signal from the current serving cell that is different from the system information and includes a request message requesting the user equipment to perform frequency redistribution in which the user equipment selects a target frequency, and performs the frequency redistribution in response to receiving the paging signal including the request message. Performing the frequency redistribution comprises the user equipment measuring quality of the frequencies included in the system information received from the current serving cell in response to receiving the paging signal including the request message, and selecting the target frequency based on a result of the measuring. The user equipment reselects a serving cell on the selected target frequency.

The buffer status report includes an index of an destination identifier, an identifier of the logical channel group, and a buffer amount associated with the identifier of the logical channel group. In the generating the buffer status report, the radio terminal generates the buffer status report based on the list.

Abstract: A communication method according to an embodiment comprises: a step of performing, by a user terminal, a reselection of a target cell to be used as a serving cell from among a plurality of cells operated at different frequencies. The step of performing the reselection of the target cell comprises: a first reselection step of performing, by the user terminal, the reselection of the target cell in a response to reception of a paging signal for requesting the reselection of the target cell from a current serving cell; and a second reselection step of performing, by the user terminal, the reselection of the target cell in a response to a trigger without dependence on the paging signal. In the first reselection step, the user terminal starts measurement of a quality of a measurement target frequency included in system information broadcast from the current serving cell, in response to the reception of the paging signal.

Abstract: A user terminal supports a D2D proximity service enabling a direct device-to-device communication without passing through a network. The user terminal includes a controller configured to select one of a plurality of other user terminals as a D2D synchronization source and to synchronize to a D2D synchronization signal transmitted by the D2D synchronization source, when the user terminal receives D2D synchronization signals transmitted by the plurality of other user terminals in a case where the user terminal is out of network coverage. The controller stops transmission of a predetermined D2D synchronization signal in response to selecting the other user terminal as the D2D synchronization source, when the user terminal is transmitting the predetermined D2D synchronization signal in a case where the user terminal is out of network coverage.
