    摘要： Disclosed is a power generation system and method. The system includes a combustor, and a turbine driven by products of the combustor. The turbine includes at least one disk supporting a plurality of airfoils, and the airfoils each have an internal passage formed therein. The system further includes a passage for routing a coolant within the system. A portion of the passage is provided by the internal passages of the airfoils, and another portion of the passage is provided between the airfoils and the combustor. The system also includes a generator driven by the turbine to generate electric power.

The passage defines a gap distance in a width direction between the straight sides at the passage inlet. A hopper includes an interior space that terminates at a mouth at the passage inlet. At least one screw is located within the interior space of the hopper and includes a screw diameter in the width direction that is less than or equal to the gap distance.

    摘要： A method of producing a synthetic gas (syngas) includes injecting a plurality of reactant streams into a gasification reactor via at least one injection device having a plurality of injection annuli, an inner portion that extends annularly about a centerline extending through the at least one injection device, and an outer portion extending substantially annularly about the inner portion. At least a portion of the outer portion is oriented obliquely with respect to the at least one injection device centerline. The method also includes mixing at least a portion of each of the streams together such that a plurality of recirculation zones is defined by the streams. The method further includes producing a syngas within the recirculation zones via mixing at least a portion of each of the streams. The injection device includes an inner portion that extends annularly about a centerline extending through the injection device. The device also includes an outer portion extending substantially annularly about the inner portion that includes at least one of at least one carbonaceous reactant injection port oriented obliquely with respect to the injection device centerline and at least one outer face oriented obliquely with respect to the injection device centerline.

    摘要： An injection device transfers calcium carbonate particles for regeneration into calcium oxide. The device includes an injector body having an inlet end which receives a heated air volume, and a discharge end. At least one transfer tube disposed through a portion of the injector body discharges the calcium carbonate particles at the discharge end. At least one flow nozzle receives the heated air volume and discharges the heated air volume at the discharge end. Each flow nozzle is angularly oriented to directly impinge the plurality of calcium carbonate particles discharged from the transfer tube with the heated air volume. A flow splitter can also be connected to the device to split the calcium carbonate particles into multiple flow streams.
