摘要: An apparatus for production of burnt lime or dolomite has:
a shaft furnace having a preheating zone, a reaction zone, a separation zone and a cooling zone;
a first feed apparatus for CO2 at the boundary of the separation zone to the reaction zone;
a first removal apparatus at the boundary of the cooling zone to the separation zone;
a second removal apparatus for CO2 at the start of the preheating zone; and
at least one heating apparatus, wherein the heating apparatus has a regenerator system.
The regenerator system has at least two regenerators, a preheater, a feed for fuel and a feed for fresh air;
the second removal apparatus opens into the at least one heating apparatus; and
the first feed apparatus is formed by the at least one heating apparatus for the shaft furnace.-

摘要: This invention relates to manufacturing briquettes, pellets and shapes from recycled asphaltic limestone powder derived from waste residential roofing products. Briquettes and pellets are manufactured through a densification process at varying temperatures, creating recycled asphalt pellets, asphalt limestone pellets and bio mass and coal fines briquettes. Various shapes, including curbs and posts, are manufactured through heat and pressure in molds. Seawalls, walkways and wall panels are manufactured by blending asphaltic limestone powders with polymer resins and extruded or pultruded into shapes.

摘要: In an aspect, provided herein are methods for producing sulfuric acid and hydrogen gas, the methods comprising steps of: providing sulfur dioxide formed by thermal conversion of a sulfur-containing species; electrochemically oxidizing said sulfur dioxide to sulfuric acid in the presence of water; and electrochemically forming hydrogen gas via a reduction reaction. In some embodiments, the methods comprise a step of thermally converting said sulfur-containing species to said sulfur dioxide. Systems configured to perform these methods are also disclosed herein. Also provided herein are methods and systems for producing sulfuric acid and hydrogen gas by electrochemically forming the sulfuric acid and the hydrogen gas in a mixture comprising a sulfur material, a supporting acid, and water. Also provided herein are methods and systems for producing a cement material.

摘要: A method and system for producing nano-active powder materials. The method can be used with a reactor system comprising stages in which input particles flow under gravity progressively through stages of the reactor. A powder injector first stage in which ground input precursor powder is injected into the reactor. An externally heated preheater stage may be in the reactor, in which the precursor powder is heated to a temperature of calcination reaction. An externally heated calciner stage in the reactor, in which primary precursor volatile constituents can be rapidly removed calcination reactions as a high purity gas stream to produce the desired nano-active product. A post-processing reactor stage in which there is a change of the gas stream composition to produce the desired hot powder product by virtue of the nano-activity of the first powder material. A powder ejector stage in which the hot powder product is ejected from the reactor.

摘要: The invention relates to a plant for generating negative emissions of CO2. The plant 100 comprises a gasifier 110, a lime kiln 130, a separator 150, and a CO2 permanent storage 170. The gasifier is suitable for receiving as input a fuel 111 and for producing as output a high-temperature syngas flow 114. The lime kiln is suitable for receiving as input carbonate mineral 131 and the high-temperature syngas flow, the lime kiln being further suitable for producing an oxide 134 and for releasing as output a flow of syngas 133 enriched with CO2. The separator is suitable for receiving as input a gas flow containing CO2 and for treating it so as to separately provide at least CO2 151. The CO2 permanent storage is suitable for enclosing along time the CO2. The invention also relates to a method for generating negative emissions of CO2.

摘要: The present invention provides compositions and methods relative to controlling hydration onset of an alkaline earth metal oxide such as calcium oxide, comprising heating an inorganic alkaline earth metal oxide to sub-calcination temperatures in the presence of organic material comprising a carbohydrate, an amino-carboxylic acid, a hydroxycarboxylic acid, or a mixture thereof. Preferred treated particles comprise at least 40% and more preferably at least 80% by dry weight calcium oxide which is heated in the presence of ascorbic acid and a starch. Treated particles of the present invention manifest an unexpected, surprising hydration induction postponement behavior as demonstrated through calorimetric testing.
