    Abstract: A robot cleaner includes a body forming an external appearance of the robot cleaner, a body moving part provided to the body to move the body, a body driving unit to drive the body moving part, a dust collector to capture suctioned foreign substances and provided with a first chamber and a second chamber communicating with the first chamber, a suction generation unit to supply suction force to the dust collector, and a guide member to guide the foreign substances captured in the first chamber to the second chamber and to apply pressure to the foreign substances in the second chamber in order to compress the foreign substances.

    Abstract: A robot cleaner and a method for controlling the same are disclosed. The robot cleaner includes a body provided with a suction portion and a slope formed to be inclined at a lower end thereof, an auxiliary front wheel disposed at a rear side of the slope, a main wheel disposed at a rear side of the auxiliary front wheel and arranged such that a height of the main wheel is variable with respect to the body, and a driving unit to lower or raise the main wheel with respect to the body, wherein the driving unit lowers the main wheel when the auxiliary front wheel enters a stepped portion. The robot cleaner is capable of climbing up a higher stepped portion than in conventional cases.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a mobile robot including a body, a rotating plate rotatably installed on the body and having a lower surface where a mop portion is attached, and an attachment guider installed on the lower surface of the rotating plate to guide an attachment position of the mop portion. The attachment guider includes a guide rim and a plurality of elastic pieces. The guide rim is disposed to surround a rotation axis of the rotating plate. The plurality of elastic pieces extend from the guide rim in a direction toward the rotation axis, have a free end protruding to a lower side or downward than the guide rim, and are spaced apart from each other along a circumference of the guide rim.
