    Abstract: A displaying method for trans-flective type display device is provided. The pixel array of the display device has a selected pixel unit formed by three sub-pixels selected from three basic-color sub-pixels and one enhancement sub-pixel, wherein there is a reflective area within the enhancement sub-pixel. The displaying method includes the following steps. Firstly, an original image having an image data is provided to the display device. Next, when the backlight is turned off, the resolution of the original image is scaled down for obtaining an adjusted image data. Then, another pixel unit consisting of the three basic-color sub-pixels and the enhancement sub-pixel is re-selected, and the driving value of the enhancement sub-pixel is calculated according to the adjusted image data for driving the enhancement sub-pixel.

    Abstract: A 3D stereo display method and a device thereof. Two sets of shutters are disposed in a display. The shutters are complimentarily interlaced with each other. The opening/closing of the two sets of shutters are controlled by time interval concept. When the display frequency is odd frequency, one set of shutters is activated. When the display frequency is even frequency, the other set of shutters is activated. The two sets of shutters are continuously opened and closed according to the variation of the frequency so that in odd and even frequencies, the left and right eyes can respectively see independent images formed of different subpixels. Therefore, a 3D display effect is presented to bare eyes without reducing resolution.

    Abstract: An integrated system and method to achieve ESD robustness on an integrated circuit (IC) in a fully automated ASIC design environment is described. Electrical characteristics and electrical limits on the power network are translated to power route region constraints for each chip input/output (I/O) cell. Electrical limits on the signal network are translated into signal route region constraints for each chip I/O cell. These constraints are passed on to an I/O floorplanner (automatic placer of I/O cells) that analyzes trade-offs between these constraints.     Abstract: A compact fluorescent lamp and an electronic ballast therefor are mounted on a three-terminal base which can be fitted into a three-way-switched standard AC lamp socket, so as to be responsive to the three powered switch positions of the socket for generating three light output levels. The ballast includes an AC-to-DC conversion circuit which supplies a lamp driver including a DC-to-AC conversion circuit, an oscillatory circuit and a resonant circuit. In one embodiment the AC-to-DC conversion circuit includes a full bridge rectifier and a voltage doubler producing two operating voltage levels for the lamp driver and two frequency control voltage levels for the oscillator, the ballast generating three light output levels by using two operating voltages and two operating frequencies. One of the lamp filaments is connected in series with the supply circuit for the oscillator so that the oscillator is inoperative when the lamp is disconnected or its filament burns out, and there is a feedback circuit from the resonant circuit to the oscillator supply for stabilizing its operating frequency. In another embodiment the AC-to-DC conversion circuit includes a half bridge rectifier and two voltage doublers for producing three operating voltages for the lamp driver to generate the three light output levels.
