摘要： A heat fixing device capable of preventing deterioration of a temperature sensor by measuring the surface temperature of a heating roller at all times, and an image forming apparatus. The heat fixing device includes a temperature measurement unit for measuring the surface temperature of the heating roller. The temperature measurement unit further includes the temperature sensor, a conduit having a reflective surface formed inside thereof to lead infrared rays radiating from the heating roller to the temperature sensor, and a thermal insulation member installed between the conduit and the temperature sensor.

摘要： An image forming device includes an image forming unit and a thermal fixing unit. The image forming unit uses a plurality of different color developing agents to form a color image on a recording medium. The plurality of different color developing agents are configured from binding resins with the same thermal properties. The plurality of different color developing agents include at least a high-resistance developing agent and a low-resistance developing agent. The high-resistance developing agent has a higher electrical resistance than the low-resistance developing agent and a lower charge-to-mass ratio than the low-resistance developing agent. The thermal fixing unit thermally fixes the color image onto the recording medium.

摘要： An image forming apparatus, includes: a plurality of image carriers each carrying a developer image; a primary transfer belt opposed to the plurality of image carriers and configured to carry a multicolor developer image; a secondary transfer unit opposed to the primary transfer belt and configured to transfer the multicolor developer image carried on the primary transfer belt onto a transfer medium; and a fixing unit configured to fix the multicolor developer image transferred by the secondary transfer unit on the transfer medium. The primary transfer belt is provided along a substantial vertical direction. The secondary transfer unit is provided on the opposite side of the image carrier on the primary transfer belt. The fixing unit is provided above the secondary transfer unit.

摘要： A color image forming device includes a housing, a photosensitive unit, an exposing unit, at least three developing units, a transfer unit, and a fixing unit. The housing has a recording medium discharge opening for discharging recording media in a forward direction. The photosensitive unit includes a photosensitive belt with a photosensitive layer. The exposing unit exposes the photosensitive layer to form a series of latent images on the photosensitive belt. The developing units are provided in a forward portion of the housing, each including a different color developing agent for supplying developing agent to the photosensitive belt to develop corresponding latent images into visible images. The transfer unit transfers the visible images onto a recording medium. The fixing unit is provided in a rear portion of the housing unit, fixes the visible images onto the recording medium and transports the recording medium toward the discharge opening.

摘要： An image forming device includes a developer bearing member, a photosensitive member, a developing-bias applying portion, a pressing-force adjusting portion, and a density adjusting portion. The photosensitive member is disposed in contact with the developer bearing member. An electrostatic latent image is formed on the photosensitive member and developed by the developer supplied from the developer bearing member for forming a developer image. The developing-bias applying portion applies a developing bias to the developer bearing member. The pressing-force adjusting portion adjusts the pressing force between the developer bearing member and the photosensitive member. The density adjusting portion controls both the developing-bias applying portion and the pressing-force adjusting portion to adjust, based on adjustment of both the developing bias and the pressing force, an amount of developer in the developer image developed on the photosensitive member, thereby adjusting density of a developer image on a recording medium.

A current is supplied to the primary winding and an output signal from the primary winding is adjusted by an A.C. current detecting section. Then, a difference between the output signal output from the primary winding and adjusted by the A.C. current detecting section and an output signal from the secondary winding is output as a signal indicating the amount of magnetic material which is present near the reading section.
