The belt fuser assembly may include a lubricant dispenser positioned to be heated by the heating element of the fuser assembly for dispensing a lubricant oil to the inner surface of the fuser belt. A controller coupled to the heating element activates the heating element to generate heat at a fusing temperature during a fusing operation and at at least one second temperature greater than the fusing temperature during a lubricant dispensing operation so as to cause lubricant to dispense from the lubricant dispenser.

    摘要: A method for transferring images, to media sheets, of a simplex print job including a simplex image and a duplex print job including a first image and a second image received at an image forming apparatus having a duplexer and a media path having a duplex portion. During printing the second image of the duplex print job is printed on a first side of a first media sheet and the first media sheet is sent into duplexer and the duplex portion of the media path. Next, the first image of the simplex print job is transferred to a second media sheet and sent to an output bin, and finally the first image of the duplex print job is transferred to a second side of the first media sheet. The first image of the simplex print job is printed on the second media sheet while the first media sheet is traveling through the duplex portion of the media path of the image forming apparatus helping to increase image apparatus throughput.

The image forming apparatus performs an auto color registration (ACR) operation by excluding or minimizing the influence caused by variation in speed of a drive unit driving a transfer member. The image forming apparatus includes a controller, which prints a test pattern of each color according to a rotation period of the drive unit, and controls an operation for outputting an image in which each color registration error is corrected on the basis of the test pattern, such that a reliability of the ACR operation is increased and a quality of an image output from the image forming apparatus is also increased.
