摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for manufacturing a birefringent film that can reduce the amount of a remaining solvent in the birefringent film without degrading appearance uniformity or an alignment in its thickness direction. The method of the present invention for manufacturing an optical film includes the steps of: coating a base with a polymer solution obtained by dissolving a polyimide-containing polymer in a solvent so as to form a coating film; and drying the coating film so as to form a birefringent film, in which the drying step includes at least two stages of drying processes. The drying step preferably include two stages of the drying processes, and a temperature in the former stage of the drying process is preferably lower than a temperature in the latter stage of the drying process. If adding a step of providing the birefringent film with an anisotropy of a refractive index in an in-plane direction, a birefringent film with an optical biaxiality can be manufactured.

摘要: An electronic camera has an image data memory for storing image data and a communication mode for transferring the stored image data to one or more different cameras. The camera includes a controller that, prior to image data transmission, receives remaining capacity data of the image data memory in a receiver side camera and displays an image number corresponding to the remaining capacity of the receiver side camera. When plural receiver side cameras are available, the controller, prior to image data transmission, receives the remaining capacity data of the image data memory in the plurality of receiver side cameras and displays a number of sendable images corresponding to the remaining capacity for each of the plurality of receiver side cameras.

摘要: A retardation film of the present invention comprises a stretched film of a polymer film containing a norbornene-based resin, wherein the stretched film satisfies the following equation (1) and the equation (2); 100 nm≦(nx−ny)·d≦350 nm . . . (1), 0.1≦(nx−nz)/(nx−ny)≦0.9 . . . (2), where the refractive indices in the slow axis direction, the fast axis direction and the thickness direction of the film are nx, ny and nz, respectively, d(nm) is thickness of the film, and the slow axis direction is a direction that the refractive index in film plane is maximum. The retardation film is hard to cause a shift or an unevenness of a retardation value due to a stress.

摘要: An optical film whose retardation distribution is uniform, whose rainbow-like irregularity is suppressed, whose color is transparent and whose optical characteristics are extremely good is provided. A birefringent material containing a non-liquid crystal polymer is dissolved in methyl isobutyl ketone so as to prepare a coating solution. This coating solution is applied onto a transparent film, thus forming a coating film. By drying the coating film, an optical film having a birefringent layer formed on the transparent film is obtained. As the non-liquid crystal polymer, it is possible to use polyimide that has a birefringence (Δnxyz) in a thickness direction when formed into a film of at least 0.03 and is soluble in methyl isobutyl ketone.

摘要: A developing roller 20 included in a developing device 1 and a photoconductor drum 100 are located adjacently to or in contact with each other. A toner absorbed on the surface of the developing roller 20 moves to the photoconductor drum 100 by an electrostatic force, whereby an electrostatic latent image is formed. The developing roller 20 has on the surface thereof a developing sleeve 30. On the surface of a base 31 of the developing sleeve 30, an electroless nickel plating layer 32 is formed. Further, on the surface of the nickel plating layer 32, a nickel oxide coating 33 is formed. The nickel oxide coating 33 passivates the surface of the developing sleeve 30 to thereby suppress the tendency of the toner charge to dissipate as a result of nickel plating treatment, thus permitting the toner charge holding property to be maintained in a favorable state.
