摘要: A copy machine achieves a reduction in power consumption when performing a saddle-stitching operation. An image forming unit forms visible images on recording sheets in accordance with image data stored in a memory device. A post-processing unit collects the recording media on an individual copy basis to prepare a bundle of the recording sheets, and performs a saddle-stitching process and a center-folding process on the bundle of the recording sheets. The post-processing unit ejects the processed recording sheets onto a predetermined eject tray. A system control part determines whether or not a total number of the recording sheets corresponding to the image data is within a limit number for the saddle-stitching process. When the total number of the recording sheets exceeds the limit number for the saddle-stitching process, the recording sheets are ejected onto the at least one eject tray other than a predetermined eject tray.

摘要: A microcomputer system includes a CPU, a memory, and a runaway detector. The CPU includes a controller for outputting a task information signal. The task information signal is activated, if the CPU performs the most important task at the present time. A program for the most important task is stored in the memory. The runaway detector includes an address register and a program area checker. The address register stores start and end addresses of the program area. The program area checker determines whether an execution address of the CPU is within the program area by comparing the execution address with each of the start and end addresses. The runaway detector detects a task runaway in the event of conflict between the task information signal and a result of a determination of the program area checker.

摘要: A paper handling apparatus is disclosed, having a first path that guides paper to a processing tray; a second path in which the paper is set aside; and a transportation unit that transports the paper. The paper handling apparatus sets aside a preceding sheet of the paper in the second path, and transports the set-aside preceding sheet of the paper with a following sheet of the paper. The paper handling unit includes: a branching unit that, when the paper is transported in the second direction, leads the paper to the second path; a paper detection unit provided in a more upstream position than the branching unit; and a control unit that determines timing in which the paper is transported in the second direction based on an output of the paper detection unit, and causes the transportation unit to transport the paper to the second path.

摘要: A wireless terminal and wireless communication method that can improve data transfer efficiency and reduce traffic. A frame transmitter of a wireless terminal transmits a frame by wireless. A wireless terminal receives the frame transmitted from the frame transmitter and transmits the received frame by wireless to a wireless terminal. A frame receiver receives the frame transmitted from the succeeding wireless terminal to the wireless terminal. When the frame is received by the frame receiver, a frame reception recognizer recognizes that the frame has been received by the succeeding wireless terminal. It is therefore unnecessary for the wireless terminal to receive, from the succeeding wireless terminal, a frame indicative of reception of the frame, so that the data transfer efficiency improves and the traffic reduces.

摘要: A microcomputer having a sleep mode includes first and second chips received in a single package. The first and second chips are manufactured with different manufacturing processes such that a leak current in the first chip is less than that in the second chip. When a sleep signal for putting the microcomputer in the sleep mode becomes active, data stored in the second chip is transmitted to the first chip. After the data transmission is completed, a power supply voltage supplied to the second chip is stopped and the second chip stops its operation until the sleep mode is released. The data transmission is achieved by digital logic circuits that can be easily redesigned by using a conventional automatic layout generator.

摘要: A control device receives an output voltage of a voltage-up converter from a voltage sensor, and calculates a feedback preliminary voltage control value determined by the difference between a voltage control value and the output voltage. The control device corrects the calculated feedback preliminary voltage control value in accordance with the output voltage to calculate a feedback voltage control value where the follow-up property of the output voltage with respect to the voltage control value is equal to a reference property. The control device controls the voltage-up converter using a feedback voltage control value. The voltage-up converter converts a direct current voltage from a DC power supply into the output voltage maintaining the follow-up property of the output voltage with respect to the voltage control value at the reference property.
