摘要: A method for forming trench isolation in an SOI substrate begins with a pad oxide followed by an antireflective coating (ARC) over the upper semiconductor layer of the SOI substrate. The pad oxide is kept to a thickness not greater than about 100 Angstroms. An opening is formed for the trench isolation that extends into the oxide below the upper semiconductor layer to expose a surface thereof. The pad oxide is recessed along its sidewall with an isotropic etch. This is followed by a thin, not greater than 50 Angstroms, oxide grown along the sidewall of the opening. This grown oxide avoids forming a recess between the ARC and the pad oxide and also avoids forming a void between the surface of the lower oxide layer and the grown oxide. This results in avoiding polysilicon stringers when the subsequent polysilicon gate layer is formed.

摘要: An energy savings device for an inductive, a resistive or a capacitive load, such as a fluorescent light fixture having a magnetic ballast or an electronic ballast, which is powered by an AC voltage waveform. The energy savings device includes a setting unit for setting a desired power operating level for the load. The energy savings device also includes a processor configured to receive a signal from the setting unit indicative of the desired power operating level for the load, to determine a phase delay to be provided to an output AC voltage waveform that is to be provided to the load, and to output a control signal as a result thereof. The energy savings device further includes an active element provided between a line that provides the input AC voltage waveform and the load, the active element receiving the control signal and turning off and on at predetermined times in accordance with the control signal, so as to create the output AC voltage waveform from the AC voltage waveform. The processor includes a synchronization circuit that synchronizes to the Green Safety ground line.

摘要: An exchange catheter facilitates the replacement of an existing guiding catheter with a larger guiding catheter during catheterization procedures such as percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty without disturbing the position of a guidewire. The exchange catheter has a distal portion through which a guidewire is slidable. The outer diameter of the distal portion is slightly less than the inner diameter of the existing guiding catheter. A femoral sheath is slidable over the proximal portion of the exchange catheter so as to facilitate femoral sheath exchange.

摘要: An apparatus for distributing data using a short-range wireless interconnection protocol for electronic devices includes a processor communicatively connected, using a communication bus, to a number of originator antennas, each of the number of originator antennas communicating with an originating device, a plurality of device antennas, communicatively connected to the communication bus, each of the plurality of device antennas communicating with a number of client devices, and a non-transitory storage medium. The non-transitory storage medium includes a receive module, a session identify module, and a send module. The receive module receives a data packet using one of the number of originator antennas. The session identify module identifies at least one communication session with at least one remote device associated with one of the plurality of device antennas. The send module sends the data packet to the at least one remote device associated with one of the plurality of device antennas.

摘要: A flora or fauna retrieval apparatus, comprising a frame mechanically connected to a transportation module to move the apparatus. The apparatus may comprise a location identification module, a number of flora or fauna attribute sensors communicatively connected to a communication module, and a flora or fauna storage container. The communication module may be configured to communicate with a computing device to exchange information about the animals or plants to be retrieved, and obtain information about optimal conditions for animals or plants scheduled for delivery. The flora or fauna storage container may comprise a temperature regulator, an aperture to let in air, and a humidity controller. The aperture may be adjustable. The temperature regulator, aperture, and humidity controller may use the information about optimal conditions for animals or plants scheduled to be delivered, to adjust the conditions of the flora or fauna storage container to remain within the optimal conditions for animals or plants scheduled to be delivered.

摘要: A secure remote actuation system is described herein that operates based on voice commands provided by a user and/or owner of the system. The system may include: a remote input receptor having a user interface for receiving one or more user inputs from a user, the user interface having a voice input processor, and the user inputs including vocalization; and a cloud-based network storing one or acceptable inputs and including a network device for obtaining said one or more user inputs from the remote input receptor. The network device may obtain said one or more user inputs from the remote input receptor while the user is using the user interface. The cloud-based network may compare said one or more user inputs to said one or more acceptable inputs. The voice input processor may include a microphone, a speaker, or both, and may perform various types of voice recognition.
