摘要: The present invention relates to a novel method of obtaining a factor involved in appetite control and/or body weight control, as well as genes obtained by said method, polypeptides encoded by said genes, or novel polypeptides obtained from the information on polypeptides encoded by said genes as a means for treating, controlling or diagnosing diseases associated with eating disorders and/or body weight control. Also the present invention relates to substances that inhibit the effects of said genes or said polypeptides as a means for treating, controlling or diagnosing diseases associated with appetite control and/or body weight control. By using thiazolidine diones having a PPAR γ agonist activity, genes and polypeptides involved in appetite regulation and/or body weight reduction can be obtained. NESFATIN or the like obtained by said method can be used as a means for treating, controlling or diagnosing diseases associated with eating disorders and/or body weight control.

摘要: An image pickup apparatus including a photoelectric conversion element, first, a shutter speed for still-image pickup is set. Next, an image-pickup frame rate is set on the basis of the shutter speed for still-image pickup. Then, an operation of the photoelectric conversion element is controlled such that picked-up images are output at the set image-pickup frame rate. When the image-pickup frame rate that is set is higher than a moving-image-reproducing frame rate, a frame for use in a moving-image reproduction is generated from a plurality of frames of the picked-up images and reproduction is performed at the moving-image-reproduction frame rate.

摘要: A link mechanism prevents a first pin from coming out of a groove and prevents interference with other elements. The line of action is the line orthogonal to the center line of the grooved portion and passes through the center of the first pin when the first pin is located at the open end of the grooved portion. A reference line passes through the swinging center of the first link lever and the center of the first pin. The angle between the line of action and the reference line is larger than 0°. The force that raises the pressure at the contact surface between the second pin and the cam surface acts upon the first pin from the grooved portion when the first pin is located at the open end of the grooved portion. The link mechanism is operational without the cam grooved wall in the entire cam surface region.

摘要: A semiconductor-device characteristic measurement apparatus includes first measuring unit for measuring a first electrical characteristic of a device under test, second measuring unit, switch for switching between the first measuring unit and the second measuring means such that one of the measuring unit is connected to the device under test, and controller for controlling the switching means. The switch includes switches that switch between a first wiring configuration for electrically connecting the first measuring unit to the device under test and a second wiring configuration for electrically connecting the second measuring unit to the device under test. The switch is electrically connected to the device under test at a position closer to the device under test than the first measuring unit and the second measuring unit.

摘要: A method for efficient production of a welding solid wire free of copper plating. The method consists of drawing by means of roller dies with the help of a dry solid lubricant for drawing which is at least either of sodium stearate or potassium stearate, removing the lubricant from the wire surface by means of a washing device, and applying a lubricant for wire feeding to the surface of the drawn wire by means of an oiling device. High-speed drawing by means of roller dies makes a stock wire into a welding solid wire having the diameter of the finished wire or nearly finished wire. The drawing step is followed by the washing step and the lubricant applying step, which are all accomplished in-line.
