    摘要: A desulfurizing and denitrating apparatus wherein an inner space of a tower body, which has an introduction port for a gas to be processed and a processed gas discharge port formed respectively in opposite side walls, is partitioned in a direction from the side wall having the processed gas introduction port toward the side wall having the processed gas discharge port by an inlet louver, a perforated plate and an outlet louver all extending vertically parallel to each other, a constant-rate discharging device for setting a moving speed of a carbon-base adsorbent in a small chamber defined between the inlet louver and the perforated plate and a constant-rate discharging device for setting a moving speed of a carbon-base adsorbent in a large chamber defined between the perforated plate and the outlet louver are provided, the moving speed of the carbon-base adsorbent in the small chamber is set to be 2 to 4 times greater than an average moving speed, and the distance from the inlet louver to the perforated plate is set to be 0.1 to 0.2 time the distance from the inlet louver to the outlet louver. The carbon-base adsorbent can be prevented from being loaded with dust in the vicinity of the inlet louver, the SO.sub.2 content can be sufficiently lowered in the small chamber, and hence the denitration rate in the large chamber can be increased.

    摘要: Disclosed is an ophthalmic examination apparatus in which a laser beam is deflected at an eye fundus under examination to scan the eye fundus two-dimensionally, and light reflected back from the eye fundus is detected for photoelectric conversion to obtain information about the eye fundus. The apparatus includes a first optical deflector for deflecting the laser beam to scan the eye fundus in one direction and a second optical deflector for deflecting the laser beam to scan the eye fundus in a direction perpendicular to the scanning direction of the first optical deflector. A detection slit is provided which extends perpendicularly to the scanning direction of the second optical deflector and which is disposed at a position optically conjugate with the eye fundus. The reflected light is deflected in a direction parallel to the detection slit, but stationary in a direction that is perpendicular to the slit. The slit serves to remove unrequired scattered light from the optical system for examining the eye.

Said lock-up clutch comprises a pump impeller connected mechanically with a prime mover, a power shaft, a turbine runner which transmits a driving force given by said pump impeller through a fluid to the power shaft, a stator which forces the circulating flow of a fluid to said pump impeller from said turbine runner, and a one-way clutch which restricts unilaterally the direction of rotation of said stator, wherein the lock-up clutch for a hydraulic unit featuring the provision of a lock-up clutch installed between said pump impeller and said turbine runner to transmit input from the power shaft of said prime mover to said turbine runner by direct, mechanical connection without a medium of a fluid, and of a vibration damper absorbing the torsional vibration from the prime mover or the power shaft when said lock-up clutch is operated, and the installation of said vibration damper in the outside of a circulation flow passage near the inlet caliber of said turbine runner.
