    Abstract: An apparatus for use by a UE configured to conduct a communication in a communication network. The apparatus is configured to receive and process signals from the communication network via signal receiving portions, wherein one of the signal receiving portions is a serving cell signal receiving portion used for connecting to the communication network via a serving cell, and another of the signal receiving portions is a non-serving cell signal receiving portion being not used for connecting to the communication network. A signal receiving portion specific offset value is obtained for each of the signal receiving portions. Signal quality values for signals received by the signal receiving portions from the communication network are measured, wherein the cells include the serving cell. A measurement report is sent to the communication network on the basis of the results of the signal quality measurements and the offset values for the signal receiving portions.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for source cell to provide a service/slice indication to the target cell in the handover preparation. The source cell provides to a target cell a list of one or more service/slice specific indications for individual ones of one or more network slices in a request for enhanced handover from the source cell to the target cell in a handover preparation phase. The source cell receives from the target cell, indications in a handover request acknowledgement of one or more selected network slices to be handed over from the source cell to the target cell using enhanced handovers.     Abstract: Certain example embodiments provide systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for a handover of a coordinated multi-point connection. For example, certain embodiment may transfer a first coordinated multi-point connection (e.g., a further enhanced multiple input multiple output (FeMIMO) connection) to a second coordinated multi-point connection where the network may instruct the UE to not perform at least one random access procedure. The first coordinated multi-point connection may be controlled by a first cell (the serving cell) where the UE is ready to receive from and transmit to a first set of cells that comprises the serving cell and one or more non-serving cells. After handover, the second coordinated multi-point connection may be controlled by a previous non-serving cell, and the UE may be ready to receive from and transmit to a second set of cells that comprises the previous non-serving cell.

    Abstract: In a system, apparatus, method, and non-transitory computer readable medium for implementing fallback to conditional handover using a SSB reference signal, a UE device may be caused to, receive RRC reconfiguration information from a source RAN node, the RRC reconfiguration information including a SSB RS based CHO execution condition associated with at least one target cell controlled by a target RAN node, and a CSI-RS based CHO execution condition associated with the target cell(s), perform signal measurements of at least one SSB RS and at least one CSI-RS associated with the target cell(s), the at least one CSI-RS associated with a contention-free random access resource, and perform the CHO with the target cell(s) based on the signal measurement results of the at least one SSB RS, the at least one CSI-RS, the SSB based CHO execution condition, and the CSI-RS based CHO execution condition.
