    摘要: A dental resin composition comprising (a) a siloxane polymer obtained by polymerizing an oligomer comprising (I) a silane compound containing therein an ethyleneically unsaturated group having bonded thereto (II) a silane compound containing therein a phenyl group or an alkyl group, (b) a monomer copolymerizable with said siloxane polymer (a), and (c) a polymerization catalyst, and optionally, (d) a filler, is disclosed. The dental resin composition of the invention is markedly improved in physical properties such as compressive strength, bending strength, abrasion resistance, and water sorption and therefore, it is quite useful as a denture base resin, a crown and bridge resin, and a filling resin in the dentistry.

    摘要: A process for preparing 2-(4'-hydroxyaryl)-2-(4'-aminoaryl)-propanes of the general formula ##STR1## wherein R represents a hydrogen or halogen atom or an alkyl, aryl, nitro, nitrile, acyl, acyloxy or amino group, R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, independently from each other, represent a hydrogen or halogen atom, a nitro group or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms,which comprises reacting (A) at least one isopropenyl phenol compound selected from the group consisting of isopropenyl phenol derivatives of the general formula ##STR2## wherein R is as defined, and di- to eicosa-mers of said isopropenyl phenol derivatives with (B) an aromatic amine of the general formula ##STR3## wherein R.sup.1 , R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are as defined, in the presence of 0.00001 to 0.008 mole, per mole of said isopropenylphenol compound (A) calculated as a monomer, of a acid catalyst and in the presence or absence of a phenolic solvent.

    摘要: In a continuous annealing process, the annealing furnace is comprised of two adjacent chambers, one for heating and the other for cooling with a door therebetween. The strip coil to be annealed is brought into the heating chamber, such as by a vehicle on a rail, the heating chamber closed, and the coil heated. After heating, the interconnecting door is opened and the heat coil is moved into the cooling chamber by the vehicle, the cooling chamber is closed and the coil is cooled. Concurrently, the next charge of coil is moved into the heating chamber and heated. Since heat from the previous cycle is still in the heating chamber, the amount of heat required for the next cycle is less and heating efficiency is substantially increased. Also, no movement of other equipment is necessary since only a horizontally movable vehicle is necessary to move the coil from one chamber to the next.

    摘要: The amidation and esterification of carboxylic acids with amines and hydroxyl group-containing compounds, respectively, are effected without incurring the drawbacks of reaction equilibrium by the reaction of the reactants, one of which has been activated in the reactive group by contact with a phosphonium salt obtained by reacting a phosphorous ester or phosphorous monoester salt with an organic base such as pyridine and an oxidizing agent such as halogens and mono or divalent mercury halide or acetate. The amidation can be applied to the preparation of peptides by the reaction of amino acids and/or peptides in which one of the reactive groups have been protected.
