摘要: A baggage managing system for removing a non-boarding passenger's baggage rapidly from a plane even if a passenger checks plural pieces of baggages and improving the convenience of passengers without rise in costs. A clerk inputs the number of baggages 1, operating a baggage numbers input unit 41. A boarding pass read/write unit 40 reads boarding information including passenger's ID and flight number from a boarding pass 9 and generates baggage ID in accordance with the baggage numbers and the boarding information. A tag issuing unit 42 issues a tag 10 having recorded the passenger's ID and the baggage ID. The tag 10 is attached to the baggage 1 and read by a tag and container reading device 8. When a passenger P passes a gate 5, a boarding pass reading device 6 reads the boarding information from the boarding pass 9. The boarding information and the baggage ID etc. are recorded in databases 2A and 2B. A host computer 3 specifies a container 12 storing a non-boarding passenger's baggage in accordance with the information recorded in the databases 2A and 2B.

摘要: The present invention prevents the interference of vehicles traveling on-coming to each other when a plurality of vehicles are traveling on-coming to each other on a traveling path with a predetermined road width without increase in cost caused by setting a wide course width and without a drop in work efficiency caused by decreasing velocity. If one of the vehicles detects the other vehicle by its obstacle detection means when the vehicles are traveling on-coming to each other, the vehicle which detects the other vehicle begins deceleration to stop itself. At the same time, this vehicle transmits a deceleration control command for stopping the other vehicle to the other vehicle via transmission/reception means, therefore the other vehicle starts deceleration even if this vehicle cannot detect an obstacle. The present invention is also applied when unmanned vehicles using autonomously guidance traveling based on the course data and traveling position data or an unmanned vehicle and a manned vehicle pass each other on the going and coming paths immediately adjacent to each other, where each vehicle has communication means for transmitting traveling position data of the respective vehicle and receiving traveling position data of the other vehicle, an unmanned vehicle has approach detection means for detecting the approach of the other vehicle based on its own traveling position data and position data of the other vehicle, and traveling control means for shifting its own vehicle toward the road shoulder side at detection of an approach.

摘要: This invention is a vehicle monitor for avoiding interference between vehicles, etc., without incurring cost increases for deploying auxiliary equipment at a wide-area site, while imposing only low loads on communication lines and monitoring stations, without impairing safety, and while realizing high flexibility for modifications of planned travelling paths. This system can also cope with various forms of interference which can occur throughout the entire planned travelling paths. In the system of the present invention, transceiver devices are provided in the monitoring station and in a plurality of vehicles, respectively, for sending and receiving position data and directive data between the monitoring station and the plurality of vehicles, using a communication system wherewith radio-communication is possible over the distances between the monitoring station and the plurality of vehicles. The planned travelling paths are divided into a plurality of segments and position data are transmitted, using the transceiver devices provided respectively in the plurality of vehicles, to the monitoring station every time a vehicle reaches a division point on the planned travelling paths, whereby, in the monitoring station, determinations are made as to which segment on the planned travelling paths each of the plurality of vehicles is present in, and directive data are transmitted to the vehicles according to the results of those determinations.

摘要: All of reference data are stored into a memory of a device main body and the reference data according to a condition at that time is written into a reference data memory built in an image processing IC of a scanner cartridge. By correcting an image signal by using the reference data, an image can be read at a high quality without increasing a memory capacity in the cartridge.

摘要: An image reading apparatus includes a line sensor for reading an image of a document sheet, an A/D converter for converting image data from the line sensor to multi-level image data, a binarization comparator for converting the multi-level image data from the A/D converter to bi-level image data and an image processing IC for selectively outputting the multi-level image data from the A/D converter and the bi-level image data from the binarization comparator. The number of read pixels in the multi-level image data output mode is set to be smaller than the number of read pixels in the bi-level image data output mode.

摘要: A scanner head cartridge is constituted by a lower case which houses optical parts required for reading and electrical parts required for image processing, and an upper case which can engage with the lower case to cover the open surface of the lower case, and a positioning guide means used upon inserting the cartridge into the carriage is formed on the surface of the upper case, that is opposite to the lower case. A scanner head cartridge is held on a carriage that moves an ink head cartridge of an ink-jet printer for performing recording on a recording medium, in place of the ink head cartridge, and can be commonly used using a common base unit even in carriages which mount different ink head cartridges and have different shapes. In addition, the scanner head cartridge allows easy adjustment of the optical system.

摘要: An image input/output apparatus is capable of image printing and reading with simple controls, and a cartridge reads an original with a simple control. When a removable printhead or image reading head is attached to a common carriage to print an image on a print medium or read an original, a flip-flop in an image processing IC inputs a printing period signal, and generates a reading period signal to control a reading operation in synchronization with an internal clock of a scanner unit. A line sensor is controlled based on the generated reading period control signal.

摘要: A method of controlling speed changes in a hydraulically actuated type multiple-stage speed change gear, which renders it possible to prevent the occurrence of "shift hunting" without impairing the acceleration characteristics of the vehicle and also reduce the magnitude of shocks which occur at the time of speed changes even in case hydraulic clutches of small capacity are used. According to this method of controlling speed changes, a controller (30) is used to conduct speed changes when conditions for speed changes, i.e., upshift/downshift are satisfied, and in cases where a downshift is made after an upshift and an upshift is made after a downshift, speed changes are conducted after the lapse of a long speed change inhibiting time, and in other cases than the aforementioned, speed changes are conducted after the lapse of a short speed change inhibiting time. Further, only in case the vehicle is decelerated from a high speed stage to a coasting speed, deceleration operations are conducted with a direct coupled clutch (8) of the torque converter (3) kept in engaged condition, and in other cases than the aforementioned, speed changes are conducted with the direct coupled clutch kept in released condition.
