The terminal has at least a first wireless communication interface connected to a first access network and a second wireless communication interface connected to a second access network. Disclosed is a processing method for processing a received message coming from a first device and sent to a second device managed by a multimedia IP core network, the method being for implementation by a processor entity when the received message is a message for discovering the capabilities and the status of the second device. In some embodiments, the processing method comprises obtaining an identifier of the first device from a field in the received discovery message and acting as a function of said identifier to select a response mode for responding to the received discovery message, the mode being selected from a predefined set containing at least two response modes.

The invention relates to a method for controlling the use of a data stream transmitted during a communication established between at least a transmitting device and a destination terminal. During a phase for negotiation of the parameters of the data stream of the communication, the method comprises a step of determining at least one rule for the use of the data stream of the communication and a step of inserting the at least one determined use rule into a message for negotiation of the parameters of the data stream of the communication, said message being intended to be transmitted to the destination terminal. The invention also relates to a corresponding device using said method.

The invention concerns a method for managing the connection of a first terminal connected to a first access network accessing a communication network and capable of connecting to a second access network accessing said communication network, implemented by a management module of the communication network, said management module being capable of determining a list of access networks to which the first terminal is likely to connect. After receiving (E209) a piece of connectivity information relative to a second terminal, the management method comprises a step (E210) of updating the list of access networks according to the received connectivity information and a step (E211) of transmitting said updated list to the first terminal such that the first terminal connects (E212) to the second access network.

A terminal and a method for configuring such a terminal are provided for a user subscribed to an operator of a communication network, referred to as the nominal network, in order to access a communication service. The terminal is configured to access a first communication service via a first network access point. When the terminal is connected to a communication network other than the nominal network, referred to as a visited network, the terminal obtains data indicating whether the terminal can access a second communication service via said first network access point. In the case where the terminal cannot access the second communication service via the first network access point, the terminal determines a second network access point to be used by the terminal in order to access the second communication service and configures itself to be able to access the second communication service via the second network access point.

The present invention relates to a method for redirecting a call to at least one message deposit server chosen beforehand, when a call being set up is being transferred from a first terminal to a second terminal, the transfer being carried out by means of a first signaling message containing a value representative of a number of transfers of the call, referred to as the “forwarding field”, the method being such that it includes the steps of: assigning to the forwarding field of the first signaling message a first value greater than or equal to a threshold, the threshold corresponding to a value starting from which the transfer of a call is not allowed by the network; transmitting the first signaling message to the second terminal; and upon receiving a message indicating a failure to set up the call with the second terminal in response to the first signaling message, assigning to the forwarding field of a second signaling message a second value less than the threshold; and transmitting the second signaling message to the at least one chosen deposit server. A method for locating a quality of service problem implemented on a terminal during a multi-media session between two terminals over a communication network., which includes at least one media gateway that is able to retransmit media data packets without particular processing according to a “router mode” of management. The terminals obtain a first quality of service data item relating to the multi-media session. Following a change in the mode of management to a “relay mode” in which the multi-media session initially established between the terminals is split into two separate multi-media sessions, it includes: obtaining of a second quality of service data item relating to one of the two multi-media sessions established following the change in the mode of management of the media gateway; comparing the first and second quality of service data items; and locating the quality of service problem depending on the result of the comparison.

Methods and devices for establishing a communication between a first and a second terminal are described. The disclosed technology can be implemented in or by a server or a terminal in communication with the server. The first terminal can to the server, using a first calling identity, a request including connection information and an identifier of the first terminal. Using the identifier, the server can obtain from a database a pair of calling identities including one certified and one non-certified, the pair comprising the first calling identity and a second calling identity. The server can determine, from one of the calling identities and from the connection information, a connectivity mode of the terminal, and determine a routable number on which the terminal can send a communication to the server. The server can route the communication towards the second terminal by presenting a calling identity of the pair and sending the routable number to the first terminal.
