    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify, for each of one or more candidate beams in a set of candidate beams, a downlink throughput, an uplink throughput, a downlink power consumption, and an uplink power consumption. The UE may select a beam based at least in part on: at least one of the downlink throughput or the uplink throughput, at least one of the downlink power consumption or the uplink power consumption, and one or more throughput thresholds. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify a first transmit power limit based at least in part on at least one of a specific absorption rate limit, a maximum permissible exposure limit, or a power density limit. The UE may modify, based at least in part on a scaling factor associated with a time interval, the first transmit power limit to obtain a modified first transmit power limit.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may select a set of candidate UE beams for measuring channel state information (CSI) reference signal (CSI-RS) based on one or more power measurements for uplink transmissions. The UE may measure multiple synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) using the set of candidate UE beams and select a subset of the selected candidate beams based on the SSB measurements. The UE may measure spectral efficiency via the resource carrying the CSI-RS using the subset of candidate UE beams and select a serving beam from the subset based on the spectral efficiency of each beam. The UE may calculate the power measurements based on a difference between a power threshold and a reference power value for each candidate beam.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with other network devices as part of a wireless communications system. The UE may identify a blockage corresponding to one or more antenna arrays of a set of antenna arrays based on using a first set of beam weights, which may correspond to a static beamforming codebook of the one or more antenna arrays. The UE may switch from a static beamforming codebook-based beam weight determination to a dynamic beamforming codebook-based beam weight determination. The UE may then determine a second set of beam weights to use for the one or more antenna arrays based on the dynamic beamforming codebook-based beam weight determination. The UE may then communicate using the one or more antenna arrays according to the second set of beam weights.
