Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may detect, while operating in an out-of-service (OOS) mode associated with a first network, that a second network satisfies one or more switching criteria. The UE may increase a time duration associated with a periodic network acquisition scan associated with the first network based at least in part on detecting that the second network satisfies the one or more switching criteria. The UE may switch, while operating in the OOS mode, from using the first network for connectivity to using the second network for connectivity based at least in part on detecting that the second network satisfies the one or more switching criteria. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: A multi-SIM user equipment (UE) can perform link failure operations associated with a first universal subscriber identity module (USIM) in an active state during a time gap when the UE can perform a network operation on a second USIM in a non-active state. The UE can monitor a failure event associated with the first USIM using a first procedure. The failure event includes a radio link failure, a beam failure, and/or a listen-before-talk (LBT) failure. The UE can transmit a request to a network entity for a time gap to perform a network operation associated with the second USIM, while the first USIM remains in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state during the time gap. The UE can monitor, using a second procedure during the time gap, the failure event associated with the first USIM.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, on a first subscriber identity module (SIM) operating in a connected mode, a signal using a first antenna associated with a first antenna module. The UE may configure, for a second SIM operating in an idle mode, a second antenna associated with the first antenna module for receive operations. The UE may switch a transmit antenna associated with the first SIM from the first antenna to a third antenna associated with a second antenna module based at least in part on configuring the second antenna for receive operations and based at least in part on the first antenna module being unable to support concurrent transmission and reception of signals. The UE may transmit, on the first SIM, a signal using the third antenna. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for multi-universal subscriber identification module (USIM) and dual connectivity operation. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) includes establishing a first access link, associated with a first SIM of the UE, for communicating with a first base station; establishing a second access link, associated with the first SIM of the UE, for communicating with a second base station; establishing a third access link associated with a second SIM of the UE; determining a need for reduced capability on the second access link to communicate on the third access link; transmitting an indication of the need for the reduced capability to the second base station; and communicating on the third access link using the second SIM simultaneously with communicating on the second access link using the first SIM, wherein communicating on the second access link is at the reduced capability.

Abstract: In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives a parameter representing a maximum transmission power, transmits first radio frequency (RF) signals to a first node over a first wireless communication link in accordance with a first radio access technology (RAT) during a plurality of time segments, wherein the first RF signals are transmitted during the plurality of time segments at one or more first power levels, and transmits second RF signals to a second node over a second wireless communication link in accordance with a second RAT during the plurality of time segments, wherein the second RF signals are transmitted during the plurality of time segments at one or more second power levels, and wherein a sum of an average of both the one or more first power levels and the one or more second power levels over the plurality of time segments does not exceed the maximum transmission power.
