Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for mesh connectivity between integrated access and backhaul (IAB) nodes. A first node of an IAB network may determine a routing address for a second node, and communications may be transmitted to the second node based on the routing address to allow for coordination between the first and second nodes. The first node may detect a discovery signal of a second node, and may determine to communicate with the second node based on the discovery signal. The first node may obtain the routing address based on one or more of transmitting a request for the routing address to a third node, establishing a sidelink connection with the second node to obtain the routing address, receiving a mapping between routing addresses and cell IDs that are transmitted in discovery signals, or any combinations thereof.

Abstract: In certain aspects, the disclosure is directed to a user equipment (UE) configured for wireless communications with a network node. The UE may include a memory comprising instructions, and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions. In some examples, the UE may transmit, to a network node, an indication of an expected communication. In some examples, the UE may receive, from the network node, updated scheduling in response to the indication of the expected communication. For example, the UE may predict a future sidelink/uplink communication based on whether the UE expects data for a future uplink transmission. If the UE expects that it will have data for a future uplink transmission, the UE may notify the network node so that the network node can enter into a low power state until the future transmission, then provide the UE with a sidelink/uplink grant for the future uplink transmission.

A communication device may transmit a random access channel (RACH) signal using a transmit beam of a set of transmit beams. The RACH signal may include a RACH preamble. The communication device may receive, based on the transmitted RACH signal, a receive beam of a set of receive beams. The communication device may determine a level of self-interference of the received beam. For example, the communication device may measure the level of self-interference of the received beam based on the transmitted RACH signal including the RACH preamble. The communication device may operate in a mode based on the determined level of self-interference.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A relay node may detect that a person is within a proximity threshold of the relay node, the proximity threshold being associated with a maximum permissible exposure limit. The relay node may determine, based at least in part on the detecting, that a first beamforming configuration is to be updated, the first beamforming configuration associated with beamformed communications relayed by the relay node between a first wireless node and a second wireless node using a first beam. The relay node may identify a second beamforming configuration for relay of the beamformed communications between the first wireless node and the second wireless node via a second beam having an exposure indicia that satisfies the maximum permissible exposure limit. The relay node may relay the beamformed communications between the wireless nodes using the second beam in accordance with the second beamforming configuration.

Abstract: When an integrated access backhaul (IAB) node connected to a user equipment (UE) detects a radio link failure in a communication with an IAB donor, the IAB node may perform various features to cause the UE perform one or more features accordingly without explicitly indicating the radio link failure to the UE. The IAB node may detecting a radio link failure in a communication between the IAB node and an IAB donor, and determine whether the IAB node has recovered from the radio link failure. The IAB node may refrain from broadcasting one or more synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) to one or more UEs including a UE connected to the IAB node in response to determining that the IAB node has not recovered from the radio link failure.
