Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for scheduled communications in which multiple different communication instances are scheduled between a user equipment (UE) and a base station. Different communication parameters for different communication instances may be selected based on reported channel conditions between the UE and the base station. Subsequent to a report of channel conditions results in chanced communication parameters, the UE may blind decode a one or more scheduled communications using multiple candidate sets of decoding hypotheses to identify a first candidate set of decoding parameters that is used for the first scheduled communication. Such techniques provide that communication parameters may be adjusted based on channel conditions, and a UE may decode a communication in the event that the base station does not successfully receive a measurement report and continues transmissions using a prior set of parameters.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive one or more reference signals from multiple cells and may perform measurements of the reference signals. The UE may transmit, based on the measurements, a measurement report associated with a first cell and a second cell of the multiple cells, where the measurement report includes at least a first field that indicates a first identifier corresponding to the first cell and a second field that indicates a second identifier corresponding to the second cell. The measurement report may further include a resource indicator for a first reference signal of the one or more reference signals and a second resource indicator for a second reference signal of the one or more reference signals, where the first resource indicator is associated with the first identifier and the second resource indicator is associated with the second identifier.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications provide techniques for multiplexing, in a frequency domain, a synchronization signal block (SSB) and a control resource set (CORESET) to form a multiplexed block that is transmitted using a set of symbols. A base station may transmit multiple multiplexed blocks using multiple different beams with a switching gap provided between each multiplexed block that allows for switching of radio frequency (RF) components between different beams. The switching gap is longer than a duration of a cyclic prefix (CP) that is associated with each symbol of the set of symbols of each multiplexed block. Within one or more of the multiplexed blocks, an associated SSB may use a different waveform than the CORESET. The multiplexed blocks may use a common reference signal for both the SSB and CORESET.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for a base station to determine whether to perform coverage enhancement for a random access procedure and to transmit an indication to a user equipment (UE) accordingly. For example, a base station may transmit an indication of whether coverage enhancement is associated with a second random access message (e.g., a random access Message 4 (Msg4)) using a first random access message (e.g., a random access Message 2 (Msg2)). The base station may transmit, and the UE receive, the second random access message accordingly. Implementing aspects of the present disclosure may enable coverage enhancement for random access procedures in wireless communications systems.

In such cases, the configuration may be for decoding control channel information such as downlink control information (DCI) that is time multiplexed with data channel information in one or more symbols of a single carrier waveform. Using the configuration, the UE may decode the control channel information and the data channel information using the discrete transform process.

Abstract: A base station may determine one or more parameters of a PDSCH group including multiple PDSCHs for each beam in a plurality of beams, configure a plurality of resources for communication via the PDSCH group based on the determined one or more parameters of the PDSCH group, and transmit, to a UE, an indication of at least one parameter of the one or more parameters of the PDSCH group via the plurality of resources.
