Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station (BS) may transmit and a user equipment (UE) may receive cloned bandwidth part configuration information. In some aspects, the UE may determine a linkage between a primary bandwidth part and the cloned bandwidth part. In some aspects, the BS may transmit and the UE may receive a downlink control information message identifying the primary bandwidth part to signal a bandwidth part switch for the primary bandwidth part and a first bandwidth part or identifying the cloned bandwidth part to signal the bandwidth part switch for the primary bandwidth part and a second bandwidth part. In some aspects, the UE may perform the bandwidth part switch based at least in part on the downlink control information message. Numerous other aspects are provided.

For example, the method may include receiving one or more reselection or handover measurements from one or more user equipments (UEs) in communication with the base station and receiving one or more load indicator values from one or more neighboring base stations of the base station. Furthermore, such an example method may include estimating an interference target value for the one or more UEs in communication with the base station based at least on the measurements received from the one or more UEs and the load indicator values received from the one or more neighboring base stations. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently performing measurements and other functions in preparation for communicating with a base station on a secondary cell (SCell). In particular, a user equipment (UE) may switch to a certain bandwidth part (BWP) (e.g., a dormant BWP) on an SCell when the SCell is deactivated, and the UE may perform the appropriate measurements and functions on this BWP (e.g., based on reference signals received on this BWP). In some cases, the UE may determine to switch to the BWP for performing the appropriate measurements and functions based on an inactivity timer expiring or based on an indication from a base station (e.g., on a primary cell (PCell)). Accordingly, once the UE activates the SCell for communications with a base station, the latency associated with preparing for communicating on the SCell may be reduced.

Abstract: Wireless communication devices, systems, and methods relate to selecting transmission parameters that optimize a dimension (e.g., time, frequency, and/or spatial) under a set of constraints. A UE may receive a resource allocation mode indication and a traffic parameter indication from a BS. The resource allocation mode indication informs the UE to optimize along a time dimension, a frequency dimension, and/or a spatial domain. The traffic parameter indication informs the UE what constraints to consider for the transmission parameters. The UE may use this information upon receipt of a reference signal in selecting transmission parameters based on the received reference signal, resource allocation mode indication, and traffic parameter indication. The resource allocation mode may correspond to optimization within a single slot or across multiple slots. Once selected, the UE may transmit the transmission parameters to the BS for use in sending the message to the UE.
