摘要: Techniques for managing access combinations for multiple access protocol data unit (PDU) sessions are described. A communication device may receive control signaling indicating a configuration for a multiple access PDU session associated with a plurality of access links. The plurality of access links may be associated with a first type of access, a second type of access, or a combination thereof. The communication device may select a mode for allocation of a data flow associated with the multiple access PDU session to the plurality of access links based at least in part on the received control signaling. The communication device may allocate the data flow associated with the multiple access PDU session to the plurality of access links based at least in part on the selected mode, and transmit the allocated data flow over the plurality of access links associated with the two types of access.

摘要: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first edge application server (EAS) discovery message from an application client that is external to the UE. The UE may transmit a second EAS discovery message to an edge enabler server (EES) based at least in part on the first EAS discovery message. The UE may receive, from the EES, an EAS response message. The EAS response message may indicate a failure of a discovery request associated with the application client or the EAS response message may indicate an EAS associated with the application client. The UE may transmit an indication of the failure of the discovery request or an indication of the EAS to the application client. Numerous other aspects are described.

A wireless communications entity, such as a user equipment (UE), a base station, a network core, or an application server, may identify a round-trip time (RTT) latency requirement that may pertain to a round-trip latency in wireless communications between the UE and the base station. The wireless communications entity may identify a one one-way directional delay budget that satisfies the RTT latency requirement for an application of an application server. The application server may be in communication with the UE via the base station. The wireless communications entity may modify a value of the one-way directional delay budget and transmit a message that is associated with the modified value of the one one-way directional delay budget.

A user equipment (UE) may monitor one or more first conditions pertaining to non-cellular communications between the UE and a non-cellular network while the UE is operating in a dual networking mode for steering, switching, or splitting traffic (e.g., an access traffic steering, switching, and splitting (ATSSS) mode) between the non-cellular network and a cellular network. The UE may predict an availability status of at least the non-cellular network based on at least one of the one or more first conditions. In some cases, the UE may determine whether to change dual networking modes based on the availability status and may communicate in accordance with the same or a different dual networking mode using at least one of the cellular network, the non-cellular network, or a combination thereof based on the prediction.

A wireless device may obtain an indication of a packet data unit (PDU) set dependency pattern for at least a first PDU set and a second PDU set of a group of PDU sets, where each PDU set of the group of PDU sets is associated with a same traffic flow. The PDU set dependency pattern may indicate a relationship between the first PDU set and the second PDU set for decoding the first PDU set and the second PDU set. The wireless device may obtain the indication of the PDU set dependency pattern as part of metadata associated with the first PDU set or via a control plane message. The wireless device may obtain the group of PDU sets and may decode at least the first PDU set and the second PDU set according to the PDU set dependency pattern.

A user equipment (UE) may receive control information that identifies criteria to use for determining a delivery status of a protocol data unit (PDU) set that includes multiple PDUs. The PDU set may be associated with an application layer of the UE. Accordingly, the UE may receive at least a portion of the PDU set, and may determine the delivery status of the PDU set based on the received portion of the PDU set and the criteria identified by the control information. The delivery status of the PDU set may refer to whether the PDU set was successfully delivered to the UE. The delivery status of the PDU set may be based on a quantity of bits or PDUs in the received portion of the PDU set, a threshold quantity of bits or PDUs, or a combination thereof.

Generally, the described techniques provide for identifying edge application servers (EASs) to support one or more services of an application client (AC) running on a user equipment (UE). An AC of a UE may send a request for an edge enabler client (EEC) of the UE to identify one or more EASs for one or more services of the AC. The EEC may receive the request and may perform an EAS discovery procedure to identify the one or more EASs. The EEC may then send a response to the AC including identifiers of the one or more EASs (e.g., if the EAS discovery procedure indicated that these EASs are available). Once the AC receives the response, the AC may connect to each EAS of the EASs indicated by the EEC to support a corresponding service of the AC.
