Abstract:
The present invention discloses a wireless communication method of supporting rapid changes in network topology. The present method may include broadcasting the first protocol message using the first broadcast cycle, the first protocol message being used for establishing a routing information between a node and destination node; and broadcasting the second protocol message using the second broadcast cycle, the second protocol message being used for establishing a link information between the node and a neighbor node, wherein the first broadcast cycle is different from the second broadcast cycle, and the first broadcast cycle is dynamically adjusted depending on a corresponding a detailed message contained in a plurality of segments in the first protocol message so as to reduce a number of broadcast of the first protocol message and the second protocol message.
Abstract:
A system and method of optimizing delivery of a radiation therapy treatment. The system optimizes treatment delivery in real-time to take into account a variety of factors, such as patient anatomical and physiological changes (e.g., respiration and other movement, etc.), and machine configuration changes (e.g., beam output factors, couch error, leaf error, etc.).
Abstract:
The method of the present invention for assembling a hard disk drive includes the following steps: 1) Position a head stack assembly onto a fixture; 2) position a magnetic block assembly onto the fixture; and 3) move the magnetic block assembly horizontally, making an upper and a lower magnetic blocks of the magnetic block assembly moved in place located at the upper and the lower sides of a coil of the head stack assembly, respectively. The magnetic block assembly of the hard disk drive dedicated for this assembling method includes the upper and the lower magnetic blocks, which are fixedly connected to form a whole, and between which there is a gap for accommodating the coil of the head stack assembly. The entire magnetic block assembly is moved to face the coil of the head stack assembly through a horizontal movement, and thus there is no need for a complicated fixture, making the assembling of the hard disk drive simpler and faster without damaging the disc.
Abstract:
A method of delivering a radiation therapy treatment plan to a treatment area of a patient. The treatment plan is delivered using a radiation therapy system including a moveable support for supporting a patient, and a gantry moveable relative to the support. The gantry supports a radiation source, a set of jaws having a jaw width and a multi-leaf collimator for modulating the radiation during delivery of the treatment plan. The support is moved during delivery of the treatment plan to the treatment area, and the width of the jaws is dynamically adjusted during delivery of the treatment plan to the treatment area.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for measuring a parameter such as capillary pressure in porous media such as rock samples. The method comprises mounting a sample in a centrifuge such that different portions of the sample are spaced at different distances from the centrifuge axis, rotating the sample about the axis, measuring a first parameter in the different portions of the sample, and determining the value of a second parameter related to the force to which each portion is subjected due to rotation of the sample. In one embodiment, the first parameter is relative saturation of the sample as measured by MRI techniques, and the second parameter is capillary pressure.
Abstract:
A system and method for developing and analyzing radiation therapy treatment plans and a computer-generated user interface for presenting data relating to a radiation therapy treatment plan. The user interface includes a list of fractions identified in the treatment plan, data identifying delivery status of the fraction, and data identifying a processing status of the fraction. The system includes a computer processor, a data store connected to the computer processor and storing information relating to at least one fraction of a radiation therapy treatment plan, which fraction has been delivered to a patient as part of the implementation of the radiation therapy treatment plan, and software, stored in a computer readable medium accessible by the computer processor, the software being operable to automatically process the information relating to the at least one fraction.
Abstract:
Elastographic images provide visualization in two or three dimensions of RF ablation lesions to guide in the ablation process. Compression may be applied using the RF probe. A similar technique may be applied to in vivo imaging of soft tissue without ablation.
