Abstract:
A motorized personal transportation article is described which transports a person by wearing a pair of power-assisted motorized shoes, wherein the shoes provide an increase in a user's walking speed in a forward walking action through supplementary motion of moving or propelling means based on an intended walking speed of the user, such that when a user's intended walking speed changes or when a user intends to substantially decelerate or immobilize, the speed of the supplementary motion can be adjusted before the step is completed. The sole of each of the shoes houses at least one plate coupled to moving or propelling means such as conveyor assemblies, and the moving or propelling means are designed to neutralize forces acting to disrupt the operation of the moving or propelling means during a forward walking action or the balance and comfort of the user.
Abstract:
“Incontinence detection system” is the title of our invention, described herein, which is designed to work along with any commercially available brief, for people having incontinence issues. The purpose of this complete incontinence management system is to provide a cost-effective solution by using sensor technology that automatically alerts caregivers to change the residents' diapers at precisely the right time. It uses a sensing system that wirelessly transmits individual wetness alerts to an application on a remote device. The system is ready for immediate use when detached from the soaked diaper, and brief changes are made at appropriate times offering the highest level of care to residents. The Pod allows for faster service delivery, less time spent in a wet brief, bringing great relief to residents and caregivers alike.
Abstract:
A telepresence system that provides a 360 degree video of a remote location to user through a head mounted display, thus providing a virtual reality experience of the remote location. The present system detects the head movement of the user and basis that moves a camera to record video of a corresponding part of the remote location in high resolution. The high resolution images from the camera is overlaid with the 360 degree video of the remote location and provided to the user. Thus, the user can view of a high resolution video of the remote location wherein only a part of the remote location that the user is viewing is provided in high resolution and rest are in low resolution. Thus the telepresence system as discussed in this invention helps in reducing bandwidth required for providing a high resolution telepresence system.
Abstract:
The invention discloses a system for accessing and viewing Internet content on a portable device by means of a proxy server. The server requests web content, renders it and sends compressed image parts to the device. In order for the device to be cost-competitive, its processing operations are generally limited to decompressing image parts and displaying them. The server sends information to the device that allows it to locally create, display and manage text boxes, in which the user can type immediately. As a user types into a local text box, text input data is communicated to the server and processed therein before further requests for web content. By simultaneously managing multiple text boxes locally, the present invention reduces instances of data transfer from the server to the device, which decreases the likelihood of lag and improves the performance of the device.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses further improvement of the shape and disposition of the optical reflecting elements that make up the primary concentrating reflector and the secondary redirecting reflector disclosed in U.S. application Ser. No. 12/580,251 (Solar Energy Concentrator) filed by the same Inventor. In one aspect, it discloses a method for designing and building reflectors for a solar concentrator array comprising primary and secondary reflectors wherein the multiple components cooperate to continually concentrate the incoming solar radiation on a remote stationary absorber as the sun runs its course across the sky.
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to the technical field of motive power systems for automotive vehicles that convert stored thermal energy into electricity for energizing electric motors to drive a vehicle. The invention discloses several devices that integrate the vehicle powering system, including a programmable regulator, a thermal energy storage section, a heat energy converter section and an electric energy storage section. All said elements are incorporated in the same vehicle, with the wheels being ultimately propelled by electric motors. The combination of the devices disclosed results in improved efficiency in the conversion of input energy to drive a vehicle.
Abstract:
The invention discloses a solar concentrator that offers a low-cost option dimensioned for supplying energy to a household. The rays of the sun are reflected and concentrated to a point focus by a combination of fixed and movable reflectors, and the heat concentrated in that manner is directed to a stationary remote absorber from where it is used to generate energy to supply the house. A plurality of safety stoppers and barriers prevent accidental misdirection of the concentrated beam. The shape and geometric arrangement of the fixed portion of the reflector array is designed so that the average amount of light received by the stationary remote absorber is maximized for all solar positions within the system's working range.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an image transmission method employed for communication between a Portable Device and a remote server by means of a network. It discloses a method for shortening the period during which the user of the Portable Device is left to wait for the loading of the webpage image on the device screen, which is part of the overall time required to navigate the web using a Portable Device.
Abstract:
The invention discloses a portable device providing access to the Internet. A host computer runs a browser taking information received from the Internet, renders it onto a virtual display in memory, captures a portion of the image, reduces the color depth, compresses and sends it to the device. A PDA browser software program runs on the device containing its own window. The portion of the image sent from the host computer is equal to or proportional to the size of the PDA browser window. Upon scrolling on the device, the image of the new location is sent to the device, stored in memory, and displayed for view. Web pages and corresponding areas frequently viewed by the user are stored on the host computer, whereby the host computer recognizes these web pages and automatically sends corresponding areas frequently viewed to be displayed.
Abstract:
The invention discloses a portable device providing access to the Internet. A host computer runs a browser taking information received from the Internet, renders it onto a virtual display in memory, reduces the color depth, compress and sends it to the device. Thus, the user views a bit map or raster image of a Web page on the device, which also contains a browser software program, that runs on the device containing its own window. This window contains buttons or icons providing web functions and implements scrolling on the web page received with respect to the window. The windows of the browsers in the host computer and device are adjustable in size and may be set to match for text formatting. The size of the web page received from the Internet is the size sent to the device when converted to an image, which varies with each web page received.
