    摘要: An elliptical steam sterilizer includes an elliptically shaped inner shell (12) and an elliptically shaped outer jacket (14). The inner shell (12) and outer jacket (14) are supported on opposite ends by an end plate (16) and a back head (20). The elliptical shape of the sterilizer distributes the forces caused by pressurization and evacuation of the inner shell (12) in a beneficial manner which eliminates the need for expensive reinforcement of the inner shell and outer jacket (14). The elliptical shape, which is oriented with its major axis (Y) positioned vertically and its minor axis (X) positioned horizontally, provides greater capacity than a cylindrical sterilizer with the same size footprint.

    摘要: A flow-through vapor phase decontamination apparatus includes at least one isolator unit (14) defining an isolation chamber (16) that receives a load (L) for decontamination. The apparatus includes a vapor phase decontaminant generation system (20) integrally connected to the at least one isolator unit (14). The vapor phase decontaminant generator system (20) includes one or more vaporizers (22) that inject a combination of a carrier gas and a vaporized decontaminant such as H.sub.2 O.sub.2 into the isolation chamber (16). A blower (24) recirculates the carrier gas through the one or more vaporizers (22) for replenishment of the decontaminant vapor. Alternatively, an automated filling system (70a-70c) is provided within the isolation chamber (16) for aseptic filling of containers (C). A conveyor system (68) transports the containers (C) into and out of the isolation chamber (16). The decontamination apparatus includes an electronic control system (26) for controlling decontamination operations.

    摘要: A three-dimensional, one transistor cell arrangement for dynamic semiconductor memories utilizing a trench capacitor in the substrate, and provided with a switching field effect transistor including an insulated gate electrode connected to the source/drain zone, the bit line contact for the connection of the switching transistor being arranged to be self-adjusted on the drain region in the semiconductor substrate, and overlapping the gate electrode with insulating layers on all sides. It also overlaps the neighboring field oxide region. The insulation layer laying beneath the bit line and over the gate level is a triple layer composed of silicon oxide/silicon nitride/silicon oxide, and in the through hole etching which is carried out by specific etching steps, there exists a self-adjusted overlapping contact. By eliminating the imprecision caused by the lithography, the space requirement of a memory cell can be reduced by about 20%. The invention is particularly utilized in the manufacture of 4 megabit DRAMs.

    摘要: An ink metering method for an inking mechanism of a rotary printing machine having an ink fountain, a doctor roller, a separate electric motor for driving the doctor roller and a low speed of rotation relative to the printing machine, includes the selection of a rate at which the electric motor imparts to the doctor roller discrete angular motions; and selecting by a second selector switch the magnitude of the angular motions. A circuit arrangement for carrying out the method includes a time selection unit which delivers at its output a series of pulses at a desired rate; an increment evaluation unit which receives at its input a number of pulses corresponding to the magnitude of the angular motion performed by the electric motor and compares the momentary number with a preset desired number corresponding to a desired magnitude of the angle of rotation.

    摘要: Apparatus for blocking the release of a surgical table from engagement with a floor bracket is provided. In a surgical table having a foot lever which actuates a bar to cause the release of connecting means from a tongue of a floor bracket, a vertical pin is provided on the bar. A base plate having a slot therein is provided on the lower portion of the surgical table adjacent to the pin. A blocking plunger of a first pulling solenoid may be extended across the slot to block the movement of the pin to prevent the displacement of the bar and the release of the connecting means from the tongue. The extension of the blocking plunger is caused by the retraction of an extension plunger of a second solenoid, which extension plunger is parallel to but disposed above the blocking plunger and is connected to the blocking plunger by a connecting block. The extension of the blocking plunger causes a cam surface on the connecting block to engage a cam follower to actuate a microswitch which produces a signal indicating the blocking of the pin. The blocking plunger may be retracted from its blocking position by being retracted by the first solenoid to free the pin and allow release of the surgical table from the floor bracket.

    摘要: In a small PABX with a switching matrix that has electronic crosspoints, integrated selector components comprising multiplexers or demultiplexers in C-MOS technology are used for the switching matrix. By means of individual dialing connection points, which are determined by an appropriate control address supplied by a control computer unit, the individual subscriber lines are to be connected together in internal traffic, and the subscriber lines are to be connected with an exchange line in external traffic. The switching matrix is electrically separated from other operating units by repeating coils in the subscriber lines and in the exchange lines. Central units (tone receiver, tone generator) are connected through free dialing connection points of the multiplexers.

    摘要: Various embodiments for hit testing of visual objects are described herein. Data of visual objects is generated in a two-dimensional clip space. The data of visual objects includes two-dimensional projections of the visual objects. Cursor coordinates are transformed into the clip space and bounding box calculations are performed using the transformed cursor coordinates and the generated data. Hit testing is performed when there is a hit on a bounding box of at least one of the visual objects in the clip space. The hit testing is performed in a three-dimensional space. A result is then presented on a user interface based on the hit testing.
