    摘要: A bundle of electric wires has a first length and a first diameter. A tubular braided wire has a second length which is shorter than the first length and a second diameter which is larger than the first diameter. The bundle of electric wires is passed through the braided wire, and then a connector is connected to each of both ends of the electric wires collectively. The connector having a third diameter which is larger than the first diameter. The braided wire is stretched such that both ends thereof are fixed on the respective connectors to form a reduced-diameter portion therebetween which is fitted on an outer periphery of the bundle of the electric wire. A conductive retainer is attached on the reduced-diameter portion to maintain a length and a diameter of the reduced-diameter portion.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a waterproof connector housing, that enables the formation of a uniform packing ring which is an integral part of the housing by engaging a hollow body of a housing with a trapezoidal engaging portion provided on a male mold, holding the housing by contacting tightly an inner wall of the hollow body with the trapezoidal engaging portion to align the center of the male mold with that of the housing, and injecting a rubber material into a packing ring forming space uniformly defined by one of both of the male and female mold through a rubber supply paths of the housing. The housing having the hollow body with tapered shoulder, a male mold having the trapezoidal engaging portion and a female mold beveled or thinned at the open edge are employed for implementing the method.

    摘要: A connector for detecting an incomplete insertion of a terminal is provided, wherein the connector causes a detecting accuracy of the incomplete insertion of the terminal to be improved when each of a detection of incomplete insertion and a detection of continuity of the terminal is performed. A guide groove is formed, into which an incomplete insertion detecting finger of an inspecting pin is inserted. The guide groove is formed at a space into which a resilient supporting piece is capable of bending when confronted by a terminal receiving chamber of a connector housing. A pick-up surface is provided for guiding at an opening of the guide groove. A straight portion is formed along the guide groove so as to protrude from the straight portion, which is lengthened at the tip of the resilient supporting piece. The straight portion is located a small distance apart from the guide groove in a direction toward the direction opposite of which the resilient supporting piece is capable of bending into.

    摘要: A double-lock connector includes a connector housing having terminal receiving chambers, metal terminals for being inserted respectively into the terminal receiving chambers, and a terminal retainer connectable to a rear end portion of the connector housing in a two-stage manner, that is, in a provisionally-connected condition and a completely-connected condition, wherein even when the terminal retainer in the provisionally-connected condition, the metal terminal can be smoothly inserted into the connector housing. The double-lock connector of the present invention includes a connector housing and a terminal retainer for being inserted into the connector housing. The connector housing has a plurality of terminal receiving chambers which are separated from one another by a horizontal partition wall and a vertical partition wall. An elastic retaining piece is provided within each of the terminal receiving chambers. A rearwardly-extending tongue-like terminal guide piece is formed on the horizontal partition wall, separating the upper and lower terminal receiving chambers from each other, and is disposed centrally with the width of each terminal receiving chamber. A front end of the terminal guide piece is extended substantially to an inlet end of the connector housing.

The connector includes a first connector housing having a plurality of terminal receiving chambers arranged in a transverse direction and a plurality of first metal terminals received in respective terminal receiving chambers, a second connector housing adapted to be mated with the first connector housing and having a plurality of second metal terminals adapted to be electrically connected to respective first metal terminals and connecting force applying and receiving members respectively provided in the first and second connector housings at central portions for mating the first connector housing with the second connector housing and electrically connecting the first metal terminals to the second metal terminals. According to the invention, the terminal receiving chambers gradually project forwardly so that one of the first metal terminals is displaced to slightly project forward in comparison with an adjacent one of the first metal terminals which is located closer to the central portion of the first connector housing in the transverse direction.
