    摘要: A method for quantitative analysis of low molecular weight components which are contained in a protein-containing liquid sample originating from body fluids and are capable of binding to said protein, characterized by incorporating into the liquid sample a compound having the formula (I):X--(Y).sub.p --SO.sub.3 M (I)in which M is hydrogen ion, an alkali metal ion, or ammonium ion; X is a straight or branched alkyl, alkenyl, fluorinated alkyl, or fluorinated alkenyl group containing at least 6 carbon atoms, Y is a divilent organic residue; and p is 0 r 1. The compound represented by formula (I) liberates thyroid hormone from bound protein to facilitate analysis.

The drive assist device is configured: to perform a viewpoint conversion that converts an image captured by a vehicle-mounted camera, which image is of a scene in the periphery of the vehicle including at least an area rearward of the vehicle, into an overhead image showing the vehicle from above; to superimpose on the overhead image a graphic image showing a flip-up back door in an open state from the same viewpoint as that of the overhead image; and to allow the superimposed image to be displayed on a monitor device in a vehicle compartment.

    摘要: A monitoring device for a machine tool, which monitors operations in work machining to increase the precision level of the work yield. To monitor a load current supplied to a machining motor in 1-cycle units, sampling points are taken at shorter intervals along the time axis of the machining in areas where the machining is complex. In areas where the machining is simple sampling points are taken at longer intervals. At each sampling point the sampling data are stored and undergo numerical processing. The load current measured value is compared to determine whether the measured value is within a range of limits determined by a standard deviation value calculated from the sampling data at each sampling point. Determination as to defective/non-defective is performed at each sampling point on the basis of the range of limits which model the shape of the work.

    摘要: A delay adjustment unit and optical network unit which efficiently adjust the delay time of upstream data to improve the quality of data transmission services. Upstream transmission data is segmented into small data blocks. A downstream receiver receives control information on which upstream data blocks are granted or not granted to the unit. It also received an equalization delay update request that commands the unit to update its current equalization delay parameter. When this equalization delay update request is received, a delay adjustment controller controls the delay of each data block, depending on whether the transmission of each subsequent data block is granted. An upstream transmitter then transmits the granted data blocks with the adjusted delay times.
