    摘要: An apparatus for and a method of reliably detecting a very small dotted image area. A detecting area including a predetermined number of pixels including a target pixel is set. It is judged whether or not the detecting area belongs to a dotted image area on the basis of the number of edge pixels in the detecting area. Consequently, it is possible to detect edges peculiar to the dotted image area on the basis of a leading edge portion or a trailing edge portion of the density, to detect the very small dotted image area on the basis of the number of edge pixels.

    摘要: An image processor performs emphasis processings suitable for materials to be copied to produce clear copy outputs. The image processor has a digitizing circuit which outputs a digital signal produced by digitizing an image. The processor further has a first detecting circuit which detects an area of the digital signal including a periodic component, a second detecting circuit which detects a character area of the digital signal, and a smoothing circuit which smoothes the digital signal to output a smoothed signal. Either the digital signal or the smoothed signal is selected and outputted by a changeover circuit according to an output of the first detecting circuit. The output of the changeover circuit is differentiated into a plurality of differentiated signals by a differentiating circuit by use of a plurality of different coefficients. One of the differentiated signals is selected and outputted according to the outputs of the first and second detecting circuits.

    摘要: A film thickness measuring device is provided with a light source, a spectroscopic sensor, a processor, and a storage unit, and configured in such a manner that light from the light source vertically enters a plane to be measured provided with a film and the light reflected by the plane to be measured enters the spectroscopic sensor. The storage unit stores theoretical values of reflectivity distributions of respective film thicknesses and theoretical values of color characteristic variables of the respective film thicknesses. The processor finds the thickness of the film of the plane to be measured from the reflectivity distribution measured by the spectroscopic sensor by using the theoretical values of the reflectivity distributions of the respective film thicknesses or the theoretical values of the color characteristic variables of the respective film thicknesses stored in the storage unit.

In one form, an airbag cover is formed by integrally resin molding a plate portion which forms a vehicle interior surface with an inner case to be disposed on the back surface of the plate portion to form an inflation/development path of an airbag. The airbag cover includes a door member formed in the plate portion so as to be split upon inflation/development of the airbag, and a hinge portion which turnably retains the door member. The hinge portion includes a first thin portion formed at a connection portion between the inner case and the plate portion, and plural first ribs disposed on the outer surface of the first thin portion so as to be bent or buckled upon the inflation/development of the airbag.

The process includes the steps of coating a coating liquid including a polymerizable liquid crystal onto a base material to form a coating film, aligning the polymerizable liquid crystal to a liquid crystal phase state, applying an ionizing radiation to the coating film through a photomask to polymerize the polymerizable liquid crystal in the liquid crystal phase state, whereby the polymerizable liquid crystal only in its exposed part is cured to form the liquid crystal layer, and heating the resultant substrate with the coating film formed thereon to bring the polymerizable liquid crystal in the uncured state to an isotropic phase state and, in this state, to polymerize the uncured polymerizable liquid crystal to form an isotropic layer.

    摘要: An airbag cover for a vehicle includes a casing for an airbag; a top portion for covering the airbag; a tear line; an opening portion; an intermediary portion interposed between the top portion and the airbag, and having a flap portion and a hinge, the flap portion pivoting at the hinge; and a plurality of welding ribs vertically disposed between the intermediary portion and the top portion. The welding ribs have a first welding rib in a peripheral area of the flap portion or the hinge, and a second welding rib other than the first welding rib. The intermediary portion is vibration-welded. The first welding rib has a vertical height so as to contact the top portion before the second welding rib does so that the first welding rib has strength greater than that of the second welding rib.
