摘要: An image reading apparatus includes a document feeding unit, a reading unit, and a control unit configured to operate in a first reading mode in which the control unit causes the reading unit to move to read the document while holding the document in a stationary state and in a second reading mode in which the control unit causes the reading unit in a stationary state to read the document while causing the document feeding unit to convey the document. The control unit causes the reading unit to read the paper fingerprint information from the document in one of the first reading mode and the second reading mode. After completing reading of the paper fingerprint information, the control unit causes the reading unit to read the image from the document in the other of the first reading mode and the second reading mode.

摘要: A semiconductor package 10 comprising: terminals 14 electrically connected to a semiconductor device 11; and a resin 15 for sealing a part of the terminals 14 and the device 11; wherein an electrolytic plating layer 19 of Ag, Sn, or Ni is formed on each of bottom surfaces 17 of the terminals 14 partly projecting from the resin 15; an electroless plating layer 22 of Ni, Sn, Ag, Ag/Au, Ni/Au, Ni/Ag, Ni/Pd/Au, or Ni/Pd/Ag is formed thereon; and an electroless plating layer 22 comprising the same material as the electroless plating layer 22 previously formed on the bottom surface 17 of the protruding terminal 14, is formed on each lateral surfaces 20 of the protruding terminals 14. This configuration enables a lead frame material 32 to be etched from its bottom surface to separate the terminals 14 from each other, thereby preventing corrosion due to oxidation of the lateral surfaces (standoff sides) of the terminals 14 exposed by the etching, and further reducing a total manufacturing cost.

摘要: An automatic document feeder which is capable of preventing the occurrence of jams that would be caused when a bundle of originals in which originals having lengths in a conveying direction equal to or greater than a predetermined reference length and originals having lengths shorter than the reference length are mixed are conveyed in a high-speed double-sided mode. When the originals are sequentially conveyed, a length of a respective original is detected. If the detected length of a preceding original being conveyed in the high-speed double-sided mode is equal to or greater than a predetermined length, the high-speed double-sided mode in which conveyance of the next original is started after start of non-reading conveyance of the preceding original is switched over to a normal double-sided mode in which the conveyance of the next original is started in advance of the non-reading conveyance of the preceding original.

摘要: A tube for transporting a fluid is provided integrally with a quick connector on a tube end portion. The quick connector has a tubular connector housing defined by the tube end portion in a form of diametrically enlarged shape, an O-ring contacting with an outer peripheral surface of a mating pipe to provide a seal, and a retainer portion. The retainer portion has a retainer tubular portion defined by a leading end portion of the connector housing and an engaging recessed portion. The engaging recessed portion allows an engaging projection of the mating pipe to fit in the engaging recessed portion resiliently or under a resilient force from an inner side toward a radially outward direction in a mutually engaging relation.
